College Freshman

Campus Food: Did not attend actual campus

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The school itself is great. The adviser and getting them on the phone for advice is/was my biggest frustration!

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: Good luck getting a hold of your adviser...they hibernate between the sessions and screen phone calls. When you get them on the phone, get all your questions out then, because it will be a lifetime to get them back on again. Good luck with emails too, as they are a lost cause.

2 College Senior

Scholarships: Takes forever to get an answer to important questions, let alone get ahold of anybody important. Yet, admissions picks up within a few rings.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are all types and kinds of dining in Fort Worth

3 College Senior

Athletics: I don't know much about it but I do know that on our announcements and news we are informed of what is going on with our school's sports teams.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I don't really believe there are scholarships for all types of students at my school. I am a single mother with a special needs child, another daughter that is pregnant and trying to finish high school, and another daughter that goes to my school as well. I don't have any talents, don't like to really write essays unless I can choose my topic (but seriously don't have time), and I'm not in the military or have family in the military. I had Masons in my family and a mayor and a chief of police in my family, my father committed suicide when I was six, my grandparents adopted me, and there aren't scholarships in any of these categories.

Party Scene: I have no idea what party life is on campus. If I had attended college when I was young, I probably would have had the time of my life---safely.

4 College Senior

Administration: I love the administration personnel at my school. Any time I have needed them, they have always been there to help me in a very friendly and positive way!

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: I honestly don't have any idea.

Local Area: My classes are online but my home campus is located in Fort Worth, Tx. There are many attractions, activities, etc. in Fort Worth. I grew up about 30 miles from there and in order for us to have anything to do, we would go to Fort Worth. For the most part, the locals have a decent attitude toward students and safety is okay but it really depends on what part of the town you are going to be in.

Majors: I am in the online program. I do enjoy my classes because I have a special needs child who needs me 24/7 and having online classes means that I can work on homework and submit it late at night. Most of my professors are there to help either through email, on the discussion board, or on the phone. I wish there were more psychology classes that were required for the degree or more classes that deals with helping individuals or families and I wish it wasn't required to take more than one class in each basic subject. Other than that, the school is pretty good.

Party Scene: It is a very great experience.

Off-Campus Housing: I've never really looked at off-campus living, but my roommate has. Some of the places are about 5-10minutes away from campus with a garage usually. The cost is a average of living in an apartment or house and is smaller if there's more people living there. I only know of housing for upper classmen from the college, but not sure they hep with much else.

Administration: The campus is definitely looking out for the students' safety. The parties on campus talk about healthy habits to have and bring us all together. The activities on campus allow us to meet more people, especially when off-campus students join us. I've held a study party in our study room in the dorm. The RAs are really helpful at making activities easy for students to attend and allow students to leave early for homework.

Off-Campus Dining: The cost of off-campus dining is very nice for the college budget, and most of the little restaurants are downtown making it easy to walk too. I've never heard of student discounts at any of the restaurants, but I love how late they are open for students. I know downtown has Mexican, Asian, and lots of Cafes, which I totally love. Hot Box Cookies are to die for when there's a late night craving, and Starbucks stays open which is wonderful for hot chocolate during this cold weather.

Party Scene: Sometimes the parties are too crowded for my taste, but nobody ever looks down on you if you aren't drinking because you're a DD or something; you're always welcome and able to feel like part of the crowd. I party with Alpha Gama Ro from MU and the fraternity guys are so nice. They help make sure you get home safely, that nothing bad happens to you at the party, and that you have a buddy with you at all times; they are very protective, especially with the girls because they're very against sexual assault.

Athletics: I love how many students show up in school colors to the athletic events; there is just so much spirit, even without a cheer squad. Our teams do amazing, and I think it helps when they know people are there cheering them on and supporting them. The athletes really help out if you're in the gym working out; they give tips on techniques and sometimes even workout with you. The athletes give us the same support we give them.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't have Greek Life on campus at all.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love the dorms. We have very open lounges with comfortable couches, and fun pool tables or ping pong tables. The kitchen and laundry is easily accessible. The only thing I would change is our shower curtains because they don't let in much light. We are separated enough from the guys, but can still hang with them when we want.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus security is very helpful is there is shady activity, and when someone broke into my car they didn't blame me like the cops did, campus security even started patrolling the parking lot more. The security takes crimes very seriously and are always available if help is needed; they will even walk us to our car at night. I feel very safe on my campus.

College Freshman

Majors: I'm in my second semester, and have not had an internship yet. I plan on having two internships; one my junior year and one my senior year. The internships will help me fully decide what I want to do in the Criminal Justice field, they will help me get the extra credits I need to graduate, and they will help me make friends that could open more opportunities in my future.
