I love the program I am in because it gives me such more many windows of jobs I can apply my dream of doing to. I am not only studying the things I need to become a substance/ drug abuse counselor but im learning about criminal mindsets, child/domestic abuse etc. which can stem from drug addiction or be the root to what triggers addiction. The more knowledge I know the more people I can save from addiction, support family of people with addiction. If I can prevent any parent from losing there child but most importantly any other child from losing there parent like my child lost his father which is why I am so passionate about this. My brother became an addict last year and I dedicated my everything and me being able to get him to want to go to rehab, providing support for my family made me realize that while I was sad to see my brother like that how much I enjoyed being able to help him and being able to say I saved his life!

I have been a online student at Colorado Technical University since 2-19-2012. I can truly say that this University is outstandingly awesome. My academic adviser, technical support, fellow classmates and instructors are great. If I need any clarifications on my assignments and on the APA manual they are always available to assist me with my needs. I love this University. They always go the extra mile to ensure that all of my concerns are addressed. I would most definitely recommend CTU to anyone who is interested in going back to school. Great job Colorado Technical University!

The classes I've had so far are excellent! The teachers are willing to give students flexibility as well as accommodate their schedule. Especially my current instructor, Mr. Cordero, he understands that most students either have jobs, children/families, or military duties. The administration and teachers are VERY flexible. If you feel your schedule isn't ideal for you, during drop out/ withdraw period the staff work great with you to make your schedule fit your needs!
