Academic Flexibility: North campus was great so much closer to where I live. Traveling south 3x times a week isn't convenient. I did not know when I decided to come to CTU that they were closing then North campus which they did last summer. I know a lot of people did not want travel south that lived north so they switched schools.

Online Courses: Not a fan of online, I prefer hands on in the classroom...but honestly the online courses went by fast (5weeks/per online course). It was easy to slack off but as long as you stay on top of the work it will work out...I do suggest if your full time employee and want to go back to school, try the online courses!

Overall Experience: I like having professors that are in the field their teaching. Courses offered are general education to what your main focus is. I had taken all of my forensic courses at another campus before they closed it down. So now I'm taking my general ed and criminal classes. The classroom sizes are fairly reasonable....it can be either a large class for general education or if your doing a class with your major it can be small class size.

Overall Experience: I have not gotten into doing internship. Not sure about recruiting or career center as of now-

Academic Experience: I'm in the criminal justice field with a focus in forensics. Nothing unique because everyone wants to be apart of the CSI team or in the coroner office. Facilities are okay. Class room size is reasonable. Workload isn't horrible, as long as you stay on top of the studies. But I love the program that I'm in....would recommend this school to anyone whose interested in the criminal justice field.

Overall Experience: Certain departments within the school of a lack of communication with students

Online Courses: It can be confusing sometimes if you have a hard time trying to get to the right area on the online courses. It takes a lot of practice to fully know what to do.

Career Services: They have many opportunities for the students and what they want to do with their degrees.

Overall Experience: I'm not a fan of online classes. Most classes can be on ground but they also want you to take online classes.

Overall Experience: I would recommend the school to other people

Online Courses: Some of the online courses that I had were very rude.

Campus Quality: I really enjoy the flexibility that I have and the professors are great, when they teach the classes that I have had with them, they use their life experiences.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far my experience has been great. I've enjoyed all my classes, my professors have been very good and experienced, and I've really appreciated the flexibility in scheduling classes each quarter. I would make the same choice of school if I had to do it all over again.

Career Services: I'm just now beginning to use our career services resources and am realizing that there is a lot of assistance and support at CTU. It's easy to make an appointment with one of the advisors in order to get assistance and advice with any number of career related questions or issues.

Student Body: Being an older student, I greatly appreciate the diversity of students at CTU. There is great diversity in age, race, and ethnicity. Typically, students at CTU are not new high school graduates, but tend to be a little bit older, have jobs and families. CTU may not be the best option for a new high school graduate who are interested in the full, big university experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition costs at CTU are a little bit higher than at some other universities. However, I do think the quality of our education is good. Financial aid is always a painful process. What is helpful at CTU is that our student portal computer system does assist with many aspects of the financial aid process, but sometimes, if there are further questions, it can be difficult to deal with the off campus financial aid department.

Online Courses: In general, I still prefer the traditional classroom experience to taking online courses. Though I've had very good online professors in the few courses I've taken online, I do think there is a lack of professor/student and peer-to-peer interaction with all online courses. Additionally, our online courses are taught in five week blocks, which is really fast paced, especially for certain courses. The online courses serve their purpose at times, but on ground courses are definitely an overall better experience.

Academic Experience: I'm a criminal justice major. So far my academic experience has been very good. The professors are experienced in their respective fields and are good about bringing their real world experiences into the classroom. Workload is fair and our assignments frequently cover very current issues and events.
