Campus Food

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I had an 8 a.m. class every morning which gave me the opportunity to have breakfast every morning. The breakfast at the cafeteria never disappointed me because of the constant omelette bar and eggs. There were always waffles, omelette, and cereal. There was a bar that would always change in their meet options and pancake options. There were also hash browns that would interchange with other carbohydrates. The juice was very fresh and there were also many types of milk for others preferences.

Campus Food: The food on campus was very mediocre. Each day the selection would change but the taste would not. I often found myself going off campus to eat food and towards the end of the year I hardly ever ate at the cafeteria.

4 College Student

Campus Food: From what I saw, the Cafeteria looked huge, a large variety of food all the time. My friends who attend Pueblo say they love the choices and availability of it.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: It's a cafeteria. I would recommend going to the cantina, it may be a little extra but every now and then couldn't hurt for better food. There are a few food outlets in a few buildings, but I wouldn't say I go to CSU-P for the food.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: It's located in the student center, which is pretty convenient.

Like most universities, students living in the dorms are required to purchase a meal plan. The plans have different amounts of meals per week at different costs. The Columbine Café is an all-you-can-eat buffet. There is a vegetarian section for those who choose not to eat meat. The Café is a lot smaller and has a lot less variety than most universities. Also, food is all made by the chefs that work at the University. They try to have some healthy stuff available, but the Freshman 15 is definitely from the food you will be eating.

Students can also have Flex Points. The Flex Points can be used in the La Cantina, a place similar to the Café, but with more to choose from. There are a couple of other little carts around campus for you to grab a light lunch or a snack. There are not too many places at the school to eat on campus, but you won’t go hungry. Yes, the food gets old, but it’s still food.
