Overall Experience: The school I wish to attend has many amazing aspects to it but it is far from being one of the best. I do however like the fact that the school at least tries to better themselves and improve their overall image. It has made progress from years past but I still consider it to be an okay school. It is not the worst and at the same time not the best it was just right for it fits my needs. I have yet to start school therefore there is not much I can really say about it yet but from first impressions and what I have heard from friends I believe I made a good choice.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love my school! They take the best care of the students, staff, and the environment.

Overall Experience: Colorado Mesa University is amazing! I absolutely loved my four years here. The best thing about CMU was the small class sizes and the fact that the professors actually got to know you. I received an internship with the help of my professor as well as got to shadow people in my perspective field. Also, there is so much to do not only on campus, but in Grand Junction in general. The university provides the students with activities every single week. We also put on concerts (Macklemore, G-Eazy, Ronnie Dunn) and parties. Not to mention, you are minutes away from hiking, biking, rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding, sky-diving, white water rafting, ice climbing and more! Grand Junction is the MECCA for outdoor activities PLUS you wont break the bank attending there! Wouldn't change it for the world.

Off-Campus Housing: There is availability to rent houses off campus, but usually rent is really high.

Party Scene: Most parties occur in local off campus housing where alcohol is permitted and you do not have strict rules as you do on campus.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are not a lot of healthy options to choose from. There are mostly fast food dining options.

3 College Senior

Administration: Alcohol use in the dorms are very strict. Administaration could lighten up a little bit.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: I believe the dining hall could be bigger and not as crowded.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Financial aid is easy to get, but the interest rate is too high.

Campus Housing: Some of the dorms are older so they are not as clean.

Party Scene: Parties are usually close to campus but off campus boundaries so you can walk there to avoid driving. Kind of a small campus though so things can get boring pretty quickly

Off-Campus Dining: If you like fast food you should be golden because they have a ton of fast food late night options but if you want something healthy and not too expensive you're pretty much out of luck.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: The strictness isn't awful, you still get the vibe of being on your own and you don't have a babysitter but at the same time you feel safe and secure with the rules and regulations.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food variety can get boring, especially in the mornings, healthy options are available but often not very good. Could cater to specific needs better.

Scholarships: The school has plenty of scholarship and financial aid opportunities but sometimes it can be difficult to find them or apply.

Campus Housing: I love that the college makes it easy for students to apply for housing and they usually do work with specific requests and needs which is really nice. I do wish there was more room as the dorms are kind of small and cramped, especially for two people.

Off-Campus Dining: There are numerous off-campus dining options close to campus. Most of these are reasonably priced and offer a variety of student discounts. The most popular are the pizza places nearby. Domino's and Little Caesar's are the best while Pizza Hut can afford some improvement.

Campus Housing: Living on campus provides an atmosphere for success. There are study areas on each floor of each residence hall that are constantly available and well-kept. Each floor of the residence hall has a different type of community ranging from independent to close-knit. Each of the residence halls are placed within a five minute walk from the academic buildings and the university center allowing for quick and easy access to each building.

Athletics: I am not involved in any sports or fan support but the atmosphere of the campus demonstrates how important sports are for the students. The facilities provide an excellent variety of equipment for both athletic and non-athletic students. There are various activities available to all students that support the sports teams, such as foam finger decorating.

Off-Campus Housing: Most of the off-campus housing is close to campus and easy to get to. There are apartment complexes, which are usually pricier, and individual housing by landlords, which are the cheapest option. Although the school does not aid in finding off-campus housing, the options are fairly easy to find through a facebook page created for students.

Administration: The school administration are strict only about issues that go against school policies and that negatively affect other students. They respect each and every student's opinions and rights while preventing alcohol and drug use on campus. They are also strict about parking passes and options because of the limited parking space on campus.

Scholarships: The majority of the financial aid can be personally dealt with on the campus website. However, any issues that one might experience must be dealt with at the financial aid office. My advice would be to deal with the entire financial aid process in person at the financial aid office because the process is made much simpler in person.

Campus Food: Personally, the campus dining hall caused many illnesses and the food is of poor quality. The Bookclif Cafe has provided me with a better food quality through their transfer meal plan. However, the transfer meal plan includes 3 different choices that eventually become redundant.

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of houses and apartments located very close to school. It's nice because you can find very cheap ones and pretty expensive ones depending on what kind of quality you want. There are also many different ones to choose from on how many bedrooms there are. How close they are located to school is definitely the best part.

Party Scene: I think the best places are at the bars and clubs. They're really good about hosting school events like pub night and offering college deal like flip night and ladies nights and stuff like that. Also they are good at bringing in live bands.
