Academic Flexibility: My experience at Collin has been great. I work 2 on campus jobs and am able to manage my homework, which is a lot because I am taking 2 science courses (chemistry and physics), statistics, and medical terminology online. When wanting to transfer to another school, it is useful to talk to advisers from both Collin and the school the student is wanting to transfer to if possible so that there is certainty that those credits will transfer.

Online Courses: Online classes, I feel, require a bit more responsibility than other classes because a student must make sure they are keeping up with the assignments. Students also sometimes don't realize that even though they are taking an online course in which the have to mostly teach themselves the material, there is also a professor that they can go to with any questions or concerns.

Career Services: Since we are a 2 year school, at the moment we do not offer many post-grad services, but we do have a lot of active alumni still supporting Collin. For example, Collin college alumni recently hosted a 5K run at which Carly Patterson, Olympic Champion, Collin College Alumna, and Honorary Chair of the Cougar Run, was a special guess. The career center also offers job opportunities for students, both on and off campus, help with creating or reviewing their resume, and software that can help make them appear more professional at things such as interviews.

Overall Experience: Our average class caps at around 25 to 30 students per class, and our honors classes cap at around 15 to 18 students per class. The professors at Collin are very knowledgeable and encourage students to talk to them. My favorite classes are the honors classes because they are taught a bit different. Since the classes tend to be smaller, its allots for more interaction between the students and professors and the student and their classmates. Some of the honors professors choose to not use textbooks or to not have tests. One of my favorite examples is the Humanities 1301 course for the Fall of 2016 in which the students go to downtown Dallas to the museum of art, the opera house, or to see a theater production, and that is how the class is taught. There is a lot of freedom when the student is looking to which classes to take because we offer classroom face to face classes, online classes, blended classes, weekend classes, night classes, and much more.

Overall Experience: There is hardly a day in which the atrium of the Spring Creek Campus is empty. There are employers looking to give students off campus jobs, 4 Year university representatives eager to talk to students, and student organizations giving out information. Depending on what student organizations a student decides to be involved in, they may have internship opportunities and even study abroad opportunities. Collin also offers on campus student assistant jobs, which also allow International students to have a form of income.

Academic Experience: I am currently perusing pre-med studies. When I first came to Collin, I wanted to major in Biology, but after taking a few of those and other courses, I decided that Biology was not the major for me. After help from Academic Advisers, and professors, I figured out that I wanted to pursue a major in Chemistry. There also is an amazing program called CASMNS, which provides undergraduate research opportunities in math and science subjects which is open for students interested in those majors, or for people who want to explore options. There also are informational sessions available for students to see overviews of the different health science programs offered at Collin College. We offer programs like Nursing, sleeps studies, dental hygiene, and respiratory care. Our Nursing program was named center of Excellence in Nursing by the National League of Nursing. A Health Sciences Center was just built at the Central Park Campus in McKinney in which there is state of the art equipment that the students get to use. That campus also offers low cost teeth cleaning for people in the community, which allows the students to practice hands-on what they are learning in the classroom.

Overall Experience: Collin College has the lowest tuition in the state of Texas, therefore if you chose to get your associates or core curriculum here, you can still transfer to any university you want and know that you saved a lot of money. The professors tend to be very attentive to the needs of the students. To tel you the least, We have 4 Texas professors of the year and 4 U.S. professors of the year, which is more than any other institution, 2 year, or 4 year, in the state of Texas. The school allots students to be exposed to a variety of cultures because of its diversity. The over 70 student organizations give the students the opportunity to become active in the community. Collin is a place in which I have grown, and it has helped me set the foundations needed for me to be a successful student. I will be transferring this fall and I am confident that I the skills that I have learned at Collin will greatly help me in the next steps of my educational journey.

Academic Flexibility: You can find the classes you need if you make sure to register early. If you wait all the popular classes will be full.

Online Courses: Online classes tend to have a lower work load than traditional classes. They trust that you will read and study the textbook which works for me. Peer interaction is achieved by responding to posts on different subjects.

Career Services: Collin College has teamed up with Texas Women's University to help students transfer to the University and complete their bachelor's degree there. The University accepts all classes from Collin College.

Overall Experience: I had a number of well-educated enthusiastic professors that made learning fun.

Overall Experience: Job prospects for Dental Hygienists graduating from Collin College are great!

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Anatomy and Physiology were extremely time-consuming. If you don't have extra time to spend on those classes don't sign up because you won't be able to make the grade.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My experience with my teachers has been great so far. The only negative experience has been dealing with people in the admissions office at the Spring Creek Campus. They just seemed to want to continue chatting instead of helping me resolve my issue of proving that I was a resident.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The professors at Collin are excellent! There have only been a couple of professors I have had that were sub par.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: They provide several resources to help you find a job or an internship.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The curriculum and workload are challenging, but doable. I work and go to school so that I can avoid debt.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Collin is a great place to start your education journey. They have multiple locations, and their classes are affordable.

Online Courses: Online courses are always more difficult than live classes. The endless discussions are absolutely ridiculous because I never speak that much in a live class. Most online classes have more work than live classes, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Career Services: Most students attend Collin in hopes of transferring to a 4-year university and most accomplish this. At this point, I am unsure of the alumni network and career center. Job prospects for my field of study are good, though.

Overall Experience: As a healthcare student, this school is good. I cannot attest for any other programs. My main focus is science and so far, I have been satisfied. The classes are small so your professor will know your name this led to letters of reccomendation to further my education. One biology professor in particular was absolutlely wonderful. She is now the department head and I am not surprised.

This school is growing so the variety of classes is sure to grow as well. The community supports this school and it has a very good reputation with other large in state universities in Texas. There are always transfer fairs at this univeristy.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I will have a job once I graduate as I am in a healthcare program with a high need for qualified personnel. The community reputation of this college is good.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The school of Polysomnography is okay. The program is still growing so there are some kinks to work out.Once there is an established pool of professors, I am sure the following students will be completely satisfied. It will be great one day.

For Collin COllege as a whole, the school is great academically.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall Collin is a great school. It is a good starting point for your undergraduate education. At the campus I attended, there was not much for social interaction so you must seek out organizations at other campuses to be involved. The healthcare school is good but review each program thoroughly before committing your time and money. Overall, talk to other students this is where you will get the best information.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Al it of classes are pretty flexible and understand that you have other commitments.
