4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My professors have been very open and helpful and are very knowledgeable. I took a communications class and this really changed my outlook on this class and offered me a different outlook on many subjects and public speaking

Overall Experience: I believe I will be successful in gaining employment in the field of mechanics once I finish the two year program.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am in the mechanics program and what I am learning will help me secure a job when I graduate

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The offer good programs that are affordable

Academic Flexibility: My experience at cwi has been good. i have not had any problems. my classes have all been flexible i have been able to work around my schedule. one frustration i did have was having to pay for all my courses this semester since i was not awarded fafsa. it was tough paying for my courses. I have not transferred courses at all

Online Courses: This semester I took an online class which was HACT-155 which was Lose big, Win big and it was great! the professor was on top of everything. she always mentioned in her posts if we had questions to email her. we always had homework every week of our exersizes. she made the class easy to understand and her material was laid out in a way that made sense.

Career Services: I know many people that after graduating from CWI they end up transferring to another college or university and they all say that going to a community college prepared them for bigger colleges.

Overall Experience: The courses I have taken have been very interesting and helpful. I learn so much in every course that I am enrolled in. Some of the courses that I have taken are psychology 101, sociology 101, English 101, communications 101, spanish 201 and these classes have all been very excellent! The classes are not too big, they are enough to where each person gets 1 on 1 with the professors. The professors go out of their way to help any student that is struggling and go out of their way and time to help their student succeed.

Overall Experience: To be completely honest I know there are internships available for many degrees offered, but i havent gotten the opportunity to do an internship yet.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am graduating with both liberal arts and sociology and having these two majors has given me the chance to take a variety of different course. The workload is enough to stress me out sometimes but not too much.

Overall Experience: I have been going to the College of Western Idaho since I graduated from Vallivue HIgh School in 2012. College of Western Idaho is an affordable college and the advisors are helpful and want to see students succeed. The professors are helpful as well and go out of their way to help you.

Overall Experience: I went to this school right out of high school and really enjoyed it. That's why I plan on going back in the 2016 school year.

4 College Freshman

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: For my "first" day, it was fun getting to know people and their majors. It was a good experience seeing and exploring (a little) bit of the campus. I went out of my comfort zone and asked for help with Financial Aid with a counselor and after getting help with them, I felt really cool! Even though I haven't exactly started college yet, and today was just orientation, I am a college student now and so far, its been great! :)

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: This is just a community college. There are no sports teams, no fun place for students to hang out together, etc. There are several locations in the Nampa and Boise area. The main academic building is in Nampa. It is three floors high with space for students to meet up and work on assignments. There is nearby food so if you need to quickly grab lunch, you can choose from Panda Express, Sonic, Jimmy Johns, Popeyes, Starbucks, Freddy's Steakburgers, and a local drive thru mexican place called Los Betos, where you can get $5 burritos (big portions!). Class sizes are medium sized. Not a lot of school spirit, because, honestly, there's no reason to be super excited about a community college.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The advisors at this school can be very unhelpful and even give false information. However, the instructors at this school are very reliable and approachable.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The Website needs a lot of work and the class sizes are way small. Easy to get wait listed, register early.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I had never attended college before, and it had been a full five years since I attended high school. CWI made it a very easy transition, and the size of the classes made one on one iteration with professors an excellent touch.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Its a very helpful school. Trying to get you the best in your education.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They started moving the classes later into the day because of budget cuts and it's very hard for me to schedule work around that.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I honestly was embarrassed to go to a community college, however I chose it because it was more affordable and I could pay on my own if I needed to, which I have. This school has definitely given me opportunities that I would never have expected and I am so incredibly thankful for that.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I can't really answer this. I took a hybrid class and it was okay, but I have yet to take an online course.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are pretty good. Honestly it'll be quite a large number at first but so many people drop by the end of the semester that you get more time with your professors.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The advisors are great! I've really enjoyed most of the professors here at the school and they try to make it work well for you. I wish there were more opportunities to actually have a paid internship for Criminal Justice though!

4 College Junior

Student Body: There's obviously the people that want to be here and the people that really couldn't care less. I love how devoted most people I've met here have been with their studies.
