Campus Resources: I love this campus! Before I came here, I would always be told that the campus was absolutely gorgeous. This is completely true! There are Redwoods galore as well as many other trees like Grand Fir, Douglas Fir, and Bishop Pine. There are beautiful lawns and flowers. In the distance there is often fog settled in the trees. I feel very thankful I attend such a gorgeous campus. I also love the library when it is colder, it is a quieter place that is great for studying. The library has wonderfully comfortable chairs that I love to sit in while I review lecture notes, study my textbooks, and take notes. There are plenty of computers to use in the library, not super advanced technology but works perfectly. The library has a metal roof that makes a wonderful noise when it rains really hard. I could go on all day about how much I love this campus.

Overall Experience: There are work study jobs available on campus. These can work as a great introduction to a field, and great experience for the student majoring in the sector they are working for. A degree from College of the Redwoods is very valuable because it provides an easy transfer from College of the Redwoods to Humboldt state with guaranteed acceptance. Humboldt State University offers classes in Ecopsychology which is a field I'm greatly interested in and I may want to pursue a career in it, so this guaranteed acceptance is very valuable to me.

Student Body: My experience at College of the Redwoods has brought me new interesting friends I'm very fond of. I feel like there are plenty of bright people with dreams, aspirations, and knowledge bouncing around in their heads. I really love to see people enjoying learning. For example, one of my classes was cancelled today because the teacher was sick, and one of my class mates said she was actually bummed because she was looking forward to lecture. I think that really says a lot about how great the lectures at College of the Redwoods are.

Online Courses: I haven't taken any online courses yet.

Academic Flexibility: I decided I wanted later classes this semester because 8:15am classes last semester were tough for me. I was able to get the schedule I wanted with classes I needed to take and wanted to take!

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition at College of the Redwoods is very low among other community colleges, but I do not need to pay tuition because of the BOG fee waiver. Eligibility for the BOG fee waiver is automatically calculated from the FAFSA application. I have only been to the financial aid office a couple times and the staff was very helpful.

Academic Experience: The teachers at this school are wonderful and I really like my current Social Psychology teacher, she provides a great lecture. We are able to discuss different types of studies done in Social Psychology. Once we were able to try the observational method of study, which was interesting and we presented our findings to the class. It really helps me understand the reading material as well as the work that goes into the data we find presented in studies.

Academic Experience: The professors in the school are all very unique in their teaching styles, which I love. I have had a great experience at College of the Redwoods so far. I am currently enrolled in my second semester, with full time credits. This semester I am using the resources of the school as much as possible, such as EOPS. I use the EOPS to talk to counselors and get tutors for math. I don't have a very hard time with learning most things, but math is difficult for me. I'm hoping to use the tutor to my advantage so I can get the math skills I need to take a Statistics class which is required for my Psychology degree. The registration process for classes at College of the Redwoods is very easy. For my first semester I had a counselor walk me through the process over the phone. My General Studies class from my first semester had an adviser meeting halfway through the semester that gave everyone an idea of the classes they should be taking to achieve their degree. Due to this adviser meeting, I knew what I needed to take and simply searched for the classes on their website and clicked register.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I mean I get fafsa, but since I'm from a didn't state I have to take out a huge loan which I have to do so in order to go here. It took 3 days to process everything and see if I qualify to be here.

Academic Flexibility: I had no problem just when the classrooms are far away then it becomes a hassle.

Academic Experience: I haven't gotten o my major yet since I'm barley starting this spring but I hope its great.

Academic Experience: I mean since I'm a football player our coaches set up a program where we study for 2 hours, and in those two hours we work on our homework so we could eligible to play football. it has helped me a lot, and it was required course so the administration put it there for without us doing it ourselves.

Student Body: I don't really care about how they look, but most of the school had a lot of hippies. there were everywhere I mean I couldn't believe there was this much in the first place. But then I saw some gays as well they didn't bother me they hanged out with the girls. though economical not very much since there was trash around every corner mostly plastic bottles.

Overall Experience: All the teachers I had here were great, and they helped me a lot when I needed it. Most of the classes were empty, which made it easier for me to get comfortable. Though at the time I had to do my registration I had a minimal chance in getting to a class that I needed.

Campus Resources: The sport I came here to play is not what I thought. the bleaches are old, and insects suck our blood while we practice. next thing you know your scratching every 30 seconds. Student center is alright they give you tutors, but have to wait. The housing staff are the worse their racist to us color folks whether its black or brown. they have campus activities but there outside into the city which is like 5 miles from the college.

Online Courses: Its great because you can work on your own time and everything is very accessible.

Tuition & Financial Aid: This school is very informational and helpful especially when it comes to financial aid and enrollment. The fees for enrollment were not much of a hassle and the staff will help you if you cannot afford schooling.

Academic Experience: The college has limited resources for specific majors. I believe they have enough resources to teach what needs to be learned but more and better resources would be helpful.

Academic Experience: The academics offered at my college are great because the class sizes are small compared to a larger college or university. The small class sizes make it easy to communicate with instructors and get to know my classmates.

Campus Resources: The College of the Redwoods campus resources are very available to all students. The staff at the college makes it know what the school offers and how it can help students. The recourses are extremely helpful and necessary for students' main classes such as the writing center and math lab.

Overall Experience: College of the redwoods has a nice selection of professors like George Potomianos and Michelle Haggerty. These two professors of mine offered dynamic teaching lessons involving group work that went on throughout the entire semester, class discussions, year long projects that were fun, teachers listened to their students. My professors have small classes so it's easy to talk to them. The teachers here are incredible... I love that they can recite their material and now the content and can explain from multiple standpoints. There's very little clubs at College of the Redwoods... which is a flaw... and the times that they host their extra-curricular activities is bizarre (like late into the night.) There's very little course variety at CR which is a flaw... only 3 history classes, two english and they only offer high-school level work. It's an okay college.

Overall Experience: I really don't think this college has helped me at all in career prospects. To be truthful I've been searching for internship positions from the coursework I've taken at College of the Redwoods and most of it is unqualified. This college specializes in technical training of nurses and mechanics but I take history classes yet there are no positions like that where I live. I really don't think my college has prepared me.
