Many of my professors are very reliable, friendly, and amazing. I do not regret going to college after high school it was one of the best discussions I made. It's honestly not as bad as people say it is. There are good professors, a lot of academic programs. The main campus is in Palm Desert , so it's close to the mall, the library pretty good location to me and it also has other campuses in Indio, Mecca etc. COD has clubs, student government. It's cheap and offers financial aid! Overall I made a good choice.

Overall my experience at College of the desert is great. It showed me that anyone could attend college, if you put in the effort necessary. I would highly recommend to get involved in Mesa if you are a STEM Major, They have workshops for chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics and computer science, also if you are in the program, your priority level for registration will be higher than new incoming students. The only thing I do not like about the college, is that they do not have a STEM Counselor. The college needs a counselor with a Physical and/or live science background, so they can better help the student, guiding them towards a successful transfer by using their personal experience as a reference point.

The quality of the courses feels like any other top level college class. Professors try and challenge their students in the classroom in order to prevent the students from thinking the class is an easy A. The variety of courses offered is also excellent although the majority of the classes are for general education requirements in order to transfer, and they do not offer many courses related to majors. Class styles are also very unique as they are not always the traditional setting of a classroom. Many professors try and add more excitement to classes by having them outside, or online.
