Academic Flexibility: Only problem Ive had this year is it seems to have less classes available than the previous year.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Saved me thousands of dollars on undergraduate degree

4 College Senior

Online Courses: online classes are very easy if your organized, can finish classes early and take tests when due.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: tuition reasonable, did not qualify for financial aid

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: There is a broad range of AA options to best fit what you want to do.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I love the classes i am taking, they really are preparing me for a job in the Communications field.

Campus Resources: Great clean resources for a community college.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The teachers are great, i now have friends, i love the free gym, and its for a great price. Although Advising is horrid everything else is pretty great.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: It was affordable and allowed me to try different classes to see what i liked without breaking my bank account.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Professors are great and very helpful.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I was'nt exactly sure what i wanted to do career wise so i started taking a few different classes to see what i liked and CSM was the smartest financial option until i decided.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I didnt really like my online classes. Not that they were bad but i just don't learn that way.

Student Body: Many of the students in your classes will not talk to one another. Many of them are there for the education and then leave, that was one of the harder things for me to get used to. Around the beginning of my second year i started to make friends because we would have repeating classes with each other because we were going for the same degree. Or you start to recognize the regulars at the gym. Some of the kids work really hard and want the best grade they can get and others dont care. It varies.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition for the education being received is an amazing deal. I will be graduating this fall with an AA in Media Studies, a Certificate in Graphic Design, and a Letter of Recognition in Digital Imaging, all completed in two years. I was not able to get financial aid but it was affordable anyway. For books each semester for 5 classes i spent around $500 and at times you don't even use the book and can return it.

Career Services: The professors really prepare you for the real world and what you need to learn in order to fit into your field of study. Iv never gone through the career center to gain a job so i cant say if they are helpful or not.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The teachers are all really helpful and are interested in giving you the best education possible. As long as you do your course work and really put in some effort you will have no problems. The academic advisers are the WORST. They all tell you something different and never seem to know what they are talking about. I almost was forced into taking another semester for one class because they never informed me i needed it after going ever semester to sign up for classes. Just make sure you know your course outline and try to talk to the president of advising to get the correct answers you need.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: There is free tutoring available to students if your having any difficultly learning. The teachers are easy to reach if you have a problem and are often more than willing to help assist you and generally are understanding. I haven't had any problems with professors.

Campus Resources: CSM IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ANY GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT!!!!! WOULD RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE, BEST PATH TO TAKE IF UNDECIDED AND UNDER A BUDGET!!!!

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Through CSM, I'm able to use this website called www.artsys.com to compare the classes I'm currently taking at CSM and see if they transfer over to a local in-state college. And if they do, it shows what class it turns into to or counts as. Once you get the hang of the system at CSM you can do anything on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The campus is extremely clean and was just built in 2012 so the building is very new and very well taken care of. The technology advancements are extremely high, almost so high that I'm learning about new technology that other 4 year universities could only dream of having! After every class, a janitor comes in to empty the trash can, vacuum, and wipe down the tables. Also the students respect the classrooms which is really important and describes a lot about the community and students.

Overall Experience: The financial process is simple and easy! I wish all 4 year universities had a system like CSM! I pay 20% down and my parents pay the rest! CSM is a great transition from High School to College and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a smooth transition that saves you a TON of money! The professors are amazing and the price is fantastic! The classes are set up pretty much the same, you have around 4-5 quizzes throughout the semester, weekly homework assignment, and 1 final/1presentation. Classes can range from basic communication courses to hands-on Nursing programs! They have a wide variety of classes to choose from for a community college. I would recommend CSM for any graduating high school student!

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: If you are looking for the perfect transition from High School to College, do community college! Also if you are undecided on what you want to major in, choose community college! It has been the best decision I'v ever made! CSM was a great community college and I learned so much and can't wait to transfer to an in-state college! Everything about CSM is easy and once you get the hang of using you MyCSMD account and getting around campus time flies by and before you know it you've gained your Associated Degree and are ready to move onto a 4 year university!

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Obviously with it not being a 4-year college, a lot of student work with their free time. CSM does provide a lot of student life activities, like for example just recently they had a chocolate party with a chocolate fountain to get the community together and socialize. All events provided at CSM are either free when you show your student id or a small fee (tops $5). Students are mostly on the go, but are very friendly in class and committed to gaining as much education as possible while upholding a job. I currently hold a full-time job and I'm a full-time student and can juggle them very well!

Tuition & Financial Aid: If you are a full-time student (at least 4 classes) then the cost will be around 1,600-2,000 depending on what you take. It never really leaves that range. For example, I am currently taking 19 credits worth (6 classes + lab) and that cost me around $2,500-$2,700 and all you have to do is log into your account and pay the balance, that simple! Also they have great payment plans incase you can't pay in bulk. For example, my best friend pays 20% forward just to lock in all her classes and then 2 months down the road she pays 40% and then the last 40% near the end of the semester. If works out better for her, but for me I like to rip off the band aid instead of slowly tearing it off. It's a great school financially to attend!
