Health & Safety: I have not, nor have I known anyone that have experienced sexual assault. I do know that if a crime is committed the students will receive a text, email, or voice alert from the college concerning the matter. This feature helps me to fell safer on campus, it allows you to be aware of certain areas where the crime may have happen, and I stay clear of that area.

Overall Experience: The student center has the best networking, very helpful, and great in assisting with employment. I'm very satisfied with they're services I receive. I am presently working on a summer internship, in the field of my choice, and I love it. They are there on the first day of your arrival, until graduation.

Campus Housing: I do not stay on campus. But the student that are staying on campus seem to really like it. CSU just built a new facility, I can say it's beautiful, and very high tech.

Greek Life: I'm sure the greek life is great to others, if you are into joining the fraternities, but that isn't one of my choices. There are about seven, I believe, and they student are always planning some event, or involved in some community activity. I think that's great. There is always some kinda fund raisers going on, which makes it exciting to be apart of.

Athletics: The students at CSU are the most exciting fans I have ever seen. They support all the sports, especially swim, basetball, and tennis, maybe their my favorite. They have the state of the arts facility, their swimming pools is used by professional athletes for training, it's a great place to socialize.

Overall Experience: The instructors, and advisers have been very helpful. When I thought I might have to quite, they were so helpful in advising, and working with me to complete, and make a plan of action to continue with my goals. They are very passionate about their job, actually, its more than a job to them, its more like a mission. I love that about Cleveland State University.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: class sizes are generally pretty small, and professors tend to genuinely care about the well being of their students.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: A co-op class is available for engineering students to touch up their resumes and interviewing skills while giving students an introduction in to how to apply and succeed in internships, co-ops, and permanent postitions

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: In terms of safety, cases almost exclusively occur later in the evening after it's dark. There are emergency beacons to use if you are in danger, and you can call an officer to walk with you if you feel unsafe

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are a lot larger than those found in many other schools and the personality quiz for randoms matches roommates extremely well

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Most Greek parties are open to all students, and students' attitudes do not vary in terms of whether someone is Greek or non-Greek. Their is no Greek housing available on campus

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The recreation center at CSU is amazing. Both free classes and demos are offered to students as well as three floors of available equipment

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Cleveland State University is a great school because almost every professor is willing to go out of their way to help out their students

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: People smoke a lot, and vaping is a thing that gotten bigger around some of guys on campus. It's a "smoke-free" campus but that's rarely followed. Most everyone smokes weed and drinks on the weekend, but there's no abundant pressure that's obvious. We even have a bar/restaurant on campus in the student center (Chili's) so alcohol definitely isn't frowned upon heavily. I've personally been offered drugs such as Adderrall and declined and it hasn't been a big deal. It's just like most other college campuses, but I definitely don't think the administration is big on taking down drug culture.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Not many people participate, but Greek life is diverse. There are a few of sororities, for example, and catered towards different fields and for different interests. Non-Greek students don't really care about Greek life, and Greek life students don't care if their friends participate or not. It's very much a non-issue.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: They have a phone app that you plug your information into and from there, you have the police at the palm of your hands.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: They have good Professors and they are approachable.

Overall Experience: The college is very friendly.

Overall Experience: I had a situation with a professor (adjunct who didn't seem to be invested in the success of his students). I brought it up to the Chair of the department and not only did he make me feel like my concerns were valid, he took care of the situation. My advisor was helpful with this issue and encouraged me to come forward and keep her updated. I love this school.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Cleveland State's motto is "the city is our campus" and with a setting like this, how can a student not enjoy all it has to offer? The city opens doors to many opportunities. No matter what major you are, the teachers are personable and easy to build a rapport with, and, most importantly, they help students gain a better understanding of the real world. With 16,000 students, you get all of the advantages of both large and small campuses, which is hard to find at other schools. The size of the classes helps students better understand the material and makes it easier to become knowledgeable in their desired areas. The city provides plenty of learning experiences that cannot be found at many other colleges.

The majority of students at Cleveland State will probably find a reason to complain about something that has taken place on campus, but the majority of those students, when asked, said they would pick CSU all over again. Once you come here, it will be hard to see yourself anywhere else because, like stated before, it provides you with many opportunities and advantages that might not be offered at other colleges. CSU is not just a place to learn what you need to know for a career, but it is also a place to grow and interact. Without the experience of Cleveland State University, a student could be missing out on the next door to their life, and that is a chance that should not be taken.
