Overall Experience: The college is very friendly.

Overall Experience: I had a situation with a professor (adjunct who didn't seem to be invested in the success of his students). I brought it up to the Chair of the department and not only did he make me feel like my concerns were valid, he took care of the situation. My advisor was helpful with this issue and encouraged me to come forward and keep her updated. I love this school.

Overall Experience: Particularly in the Health Sciences department I have had some really amazing professors who know so much about the field or topic of study and you can truly learn a lot from them. The majority of our professors have had real-world experience and bring it to the classroom, and many of them take interest in research: offering many great opportunities for students to participate.

Overall Experience: There are many jobs available for students on campus and a great career services office that will help students find jobs/internships/co-ops and help them with resume building and interviewing. We have huge career fairs twice a year only offered to CSU students and many people have great networking opportunities with those. Also, many of the colleges within CSU will have mini career fairs throughout the semester for just their specific major. We have a really great Alumni Association and we also have the 1964 Society which works directly with the alumni involved, helping to bridge the gap between current students and alumni in order to network and bring advice.

Health & Safety: Our campus is pretty safe considering it is located in a decently sized city in downtown Cleveland. The type of crime that may occur is normally petty theft: either a car is broken into because there was an iPod sitting on the seat, or a phone is swiped from someone's hands while they are texting while walking down the street, stuff like that. We have campus escort services for anyone free of charge to take you back to your dorm or car, and there is patrol by car, motorcycle, bicycle, horse, and foot all the time.

Campus Housing: When people see our resident halls they are absolutely amazed, especially for the price! They are like furnished apartments! Your own room completely furnished with a full sized bed, full closet, desk, chair, dressers, internet and cable tv hookups in every room, you only have to share a bathroom with one other person (your roommate, no communal bathrooms!), you get your own sink, full kitchen with a stove/oven, dishwasher, sink with garbage disposal, cabinets, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen table, living room with couch, chair, coffee table, tv stand, end table: they are literally the nicest dorm rooms ever!

Greek Life: Our Greek Life is pretty low-key meaning they are not in everyone's face, but definitely present in a good way. Everyone involved that I know of loves their group and they do a lot of great things in the community.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love CSU! I went there for my undergraduate degree for Health Sciences/ Pre-Physical Therapy and they had a very challenging program with great labs and professors! I continued as a graduate student here for my MBA in Health Care Administration, and plan to continue here for my Doctorate in Physical Therapy! I love every aspect: the people, the organizations, the professors, the classrooms, the campus, the city, the opportunities, the programs, the student services, everything!

Athletics: Many student are involved with some type of athletics at CSU, if not varsity than some time of club sport. It is a great way to meet new people and continue to play a sport you enjoy without committing to varsity. There is a lot of fan support for our varsity teams, especially basketball and soccer. We have some newly updated facilities such as our soccer field and tennis courts, and the Wolstein center is a great place for Basketball. We have very active sport recruiters in admissions.

Health & Safety: On-campus crime isn't all too common. We have our own police force who will escort you on campus by request, but I've never felt like it was necessary.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Aside from one course (lookin' at you, Chemistry 261) that I hated because of the professor, all of my courses have been pretty decent, and I've liked all of my other professors. Class sizes are reasonable.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Our teams are pretty s***, I'll admit that. But we have good facilities and our Rec Centre is awesome.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I've loved my time at CSU so far. Campus is easy to navigate, classes are engaging, and I love the diversity in student organisations.

Overall Experience: The school I am currently attending has its pros and cons, but I'm glad I am getting the experience in the medical field starting from a young age.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: Students in my school generally care about their grades.

Campus Housing: I've seen pictures of the campus and it look amazing from what I saw. Visited the college and loved it.

3 College Student

Greek Life: I have no knowledge about this area of study.

3 College Student

Athletics: Athletics havent really been a major interest of mine.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: My school does care a lot about grades and attendance. The current program I take at Atech is Pharmacy Technician. It requires effort and hours of studying. I believe that all my hard work to become a pharmacy technician and pass my boards, will pay off when I attend nursing school and will help me have previous experience when pursuing a job in the nursing field.

Health & Safety: There's more crime than I want despite the number of active police in the area.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Cleveland State's motto is "the city is our campus" and with a setting like this, how can a student not enjoy all it has to offer? The city opens doors to many opportunities. No matter what major you are, the teachers are personable and easy to build a rapport with, and, most importantly, they help students gain a better understanding of the real world. With 16,000 students, you get all of the advantages of both large and small campuses, which is hard to find at other schools. The size of the classes helps students better understand the material and makes it easier to become knowledgeable in their desired areas. The city provides plenty of learning experiences that cannot be found at many other colleges.

The majority of students at Cleveland State will probably find a reason to complain about something that has taken place on campus, but the majority of those students, when asked, said they would pick CSU all over again. Once you come here, it will be hard to see yourself anywhere else because, like stated before, it provides you with many opportunities and advantages that might not be offered at other colleges. CSU is not just a place to learn what you need to know for a career, but it is also a place to grow and interact. Without the experience of Cleveland State University, a student could be missing out on the next door to their life, and that is a chance that should not be taken.
