4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The university actively promotes safety and security.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: i think me school is extremely safe and i do not feel in any danger

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I don't really hear about crime on campus but we get email updates from campus police and they always seem to be on top of their game. I feel like campus is one of the safest places to be, I have never once thought about being in danger while on campus.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The campus is very safe and there have been very few incidents to occur since I have been at the school. CUPD officers are generally around and are cool to talk to. I have never felt unsafe on campus and if I did, there are blue light stations that will alert CUPD to my location and they will arrive in about a minute. Officers are always on campus and the response time is very quick.

Security phones, police escorts, and lights all over campus help make Clemson a very safe environment for students. The annual Clemson Safe Walk involves students and members of the Clemson community who walk the campus and discuss ways to improve safety. Most students agree that Clemson is an extremely safe campus as long as you take the basic precautionary measures, like walking in a group after dark and locking your doors.

Clemson is a fairly large university located in a rural setting, which makes it an obvious target for theft by outsiders. However, most students will tell you they haven't had any trouble, and there really isn't too much to worry about. As long as you use common sense (lock up your bikes, cars, and apartments, and avoid walking alone at night), you shouldn't have any difficulties with strangers or outsiders.
