Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe for a second while on the Clemson campus. There are police patrolling on a regular basis (not annoyingly frequently though) and emergency poles located throughout campus. I can leave my belongings unattended and rest assured that they will be there untouched when I return. Clemson students are known for their undying integrity and honor each other's possessions. There truly is something about the Southern way of life that makes everyone nicer and more pleasant to be around.

Greek Life: I am not a part of Greek life but most of my friends that are say they wouldn't change it for the world. They love greek like and I think it acts as an excellent way to meet new people and network. On the other hand, if Greek life isn't for you, myself included, you just have to find a different club or team or organization that catches your interest and you'll enjoy it just as much as they enjoy Greek life!

Athletics: Clemson football is a HUGE part of the Clemson experience. The entire campus is alive on game day with alumni and fans flocking for events. The number of students who participate in intramural and club sports is also outrageous.

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing really runs the gamut. Most places are within walking distance to campus or have easy access to the Catbus that runs back and forth between campus all day.

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining is great! Such a great variety of foods ranging from Asian to Mexican to southern and everything in between. The fan favorite of almost anyone who's ever been to Clemson is The Smokin' Pig. Best barbecue I've ever had.

Party Scene: There are ALWAYS things to do at Clemson when it comes to night life. The fraternities are constantly throwing down for huge bashes but if that's not your style the bars downtown are a great time too (if you're 21 or have a fake). I usually find myself at house parties though, because it's nice to hang with friends in a closed environment.

Administration: The ability to create new clubs is very appealing to most potential and current students, it's so easy! The attendance policy is up to the discretion of the professor so it's really just luck-of-the-draw.

Scholarships: The financial aid process, as I presume it would be at any school, is a hassle but it's worth the extra work.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: There are plenty of on campus food locations that usually take paw points or tiger stripe!

Athletics: I'm not into athletics but I know friends who are.

Administration: I've never had a problem

Scholarships: I'm constantly in fear of not having enough money/aid to pay for college.

Off-Campus Housing: Clemson is a small town so most of the off-campus housing is really close. if it's not then it's on the lake, which is really nice. I've never felt unsafe in Clemson. The CAT Bus route also hits most of the big apartment complexes so there's no reason you need a car to get to class

Administration: Parking services will give you a ticket fast if you are illegally parked. Other than that I haven't had any problems

Scholarships: I went to the online financial aid section and it clearly laid out all of my financial aid options. The folks at Sikes Hall were also very helpful on all of my questions.

Campus Food: The dinning halls (Harcombe and Schilletter) have really stepped up there quality of food. They use locally grown food and have more healthy options than before. They also cater to vegan and gluten free preferences. You can also use your tiger stripe and paw points at various places off campus as well as on campus.

Off-Campus Housing: Clemson has many different off-campus housing options and the prices are usually quite fair, in addition many of the main apartment complexes are located within a 10 minute ride from campus. The variety is there if you're willing to look for it and pay a little bit more (same goes for quality). The major apartment complexes are known for often having problems regarding administrative organization and communication with tenants.

Off-Campus Dining: Like most college towns it is filled with fast-food and chains; however, there are also quite a few locally owned establishments that can be quite good and for a fair price.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: Aside from the obvious frat and sorority parties which I can't comment on there are many options. If you know people there is always some kind of party or get together happening. While too much can certainly hurt your academics they are a big part of college life. Most parties happen at someones house/apartment either in UV or Chimney Ridge.

Administration: The administration does a fairly good job but they are often plagued by inept faculty that can cause problems with campus-life.

Scholarships: The process isn't too hard but they like to keep adding extra paperwork, they take their time and you're not guaranteed the amount you need.

Campus Food: They have the options for students but most of them are basic and focus on speed and convenience

Off-Campus Dining: Much of the same you would find on-campus or Downtown.

2 College Freshman

Administration: Punishment rarely occurs, even when there is blatant evidence of contraband.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The process itself is trouble-free. Whether you get the amount of aid you need is another story.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Clemson offers an amazing college experience. Students return for the rest of their lives to see how the campus has changed and to support the Tigers. Although it is located in a small town, the school is big enough that there is never a dull moment, and the location only makes the student body closer to one another. As anyone who has been to Clemson knows, the students' blood here is orange, and the Clemson spirit is contagious for almost anyone who attends.
