Technology: printers are everywhere and we have a printing allowance

Health & Safety: I feel safe most of the time, but some things have happened around here

Scholarships: It was a very log process

5 College Sophomore

Majors: There are many majors to choose from.

Majors: I am extremely happy with my major, I'm in the major I've always wanted to be in.

Health & Safety: Safety is fine, I have no problem with how things are.

3 College Freshman

Majors: The process to be considered for scholarships was challenging as an out of state student. There seem to be more opportunities for in state students

3 College Freshman

Majors: It is a tough program and took some adjusting after the first semester things are going more smoothly

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Football is the big sport on campus and everyone supports the team

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I can't really say what the scene is since I do not part take in this scene

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Campus is spread out but housing options are good

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of great choices close and convenient

5 College Senior

Transportation: Tiger Transit and the CatBus are both free and really great options for getting to and from Clemson and Central without a car, but they do have limited routes and times. Peak times can sometimes leave you waiting thirty minutes to get to campus or get home depending on your stop.

5 College Senior

Athletics: For people who are into that, the scene is great. Everyone and everything in town revolves around sports, don't even try to leave campus on a home game Saturday--you'll never get back in or be able to find parking.

3 College Senior

Administration: The Honor Code and Ethics policies are taken very seriously here, it's even a part of the dreaded "eporfolio" required for graduation.

Health & Safety: Tiger Transit is an excellent service to get around on campus after dark without having to worry, but saying that campus is "safe" seems kind of laughable when someone was recently sexually assaulted on it. There is not a very healthy environment for that here, but I don't hear about it happening a lot.

Technology: Every computer I've used on campus seems to be great, mainly the Mac's in the library. Wireless used to be a lot better before they switched to the new network, not I can't always get it on my phone walking between buildings but it seems to be improving.

3 College Senior

Majors: History has a very solid foundation, but when the courses are offered is highly variable. It seems like the awesome courses are all held at the same time. I don't think there is enough "training" for future career/schooling.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: The non-fast food/chain options are okay, but very niche and nothing is really "cheap." There are practically no healthy/vegetarian/vegan options, though.

2 College Student

Diversity: No very diverse at all. Very prejudice against Northerners and different religions

3 College Student

Greek Life: Greek life is great, but most of the sororities are extremely prejudice against Northerners and there are no houses, which is a huge downfall because that is a vital part to being a tight-knit group

4 College Student

Party Scene: the bars close very early and do not serve alcohol on Sundays

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Clemson offers an amazing college experience. Students return for the rest of their lives to see how the campus has changed and to support the Tigers. Although it is located in a small town, the school is big enough that there is never a dull moment, and the location only makes the student body closer to one another. As anyone who has been to Clemson knows, the students' blood here is orange, and the Clemson spirit is contagious for almost anyone who attends.
