Campus Food: They do the best considering how busy it can get at times.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Because of high demand, there are always multiple vegetarian/vegan options. The cafe is very dependable in this respect, but options in the bistro are less enjoyable and plentiful. Dining services is responsive to student requests and comments.

Campus Food: It's great; the cooks put a lot of effort into making the food. At the main dining hall, there is a board where students can place sticky notes with suggestions, criticisms or praise. All comments are read, put into consideration, and responded to.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food in the caf is always decent, the best part about going there is the staff, they are all warm friendly people

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Wish there was a better coffee place on campus but the food is generally good. Bistro slightly over-priced but i always swap.

Everyone agrees: The campus food is bad. Worcester is filled with other schools and is close enough to Boston that most students have had the opportunity to compare Clark food to other colleges' food. The biggest gripe with the food always comes down to quality and selection, but the quality has improved since the University hired a new dining vendor. .The Bistro makes some palatable entrees, albeit for a high price, but it does offer midnight snacks for that all-nighter. Also, Jazzman’s Café is open until midnight, so drinks, brownies, and other tasty treats are available late, as well.

The food complaints at Clark are never-ending. Aside from the taste of the food, the Clark policy of requiring freshman and sophomores to remain on the meal plan leaves quite a bad taste in one’s mouth. The best way to go about food at Clark is to select the plan that puts the most money onto your Clark card as Dining Dollars, which can be used to buy meals at the Bistro, UC Caf, and Jazzman’s Café, as well as a few other places around campus. When students no longer need to be tied to the meal plan, they simply take their money for food and put it onto the Clark OneCard. This will enable students to spend their money just as they did when they were on the meal plan; however, they will now be refunded any money not spent by graduation, whereas before students would lose all their unused meals and Dining Dollars.

  • You can get some good food without ever having to leave your room! Call Domino's or Fantastic Pizza and order whatever you like on your Clark OneCard. Wait 20 minutes, and voila! Flex dollars are only for use with Bon Appétit and can't be used with off-campus restaurants. You have to put money on your Clark OneCard for ordering from these off-campus places. (Your Clark OneCard acts as a key to a number of services on campus including access to residential and academic buildings, meal plans, the CashCard Account, and the Debitek Account, which acts like a debit card. The Clark OneCard also acts as a library card and allows access to the Kneller Athletic Center and the Dolan Field House.)
  • Students have to use their designated meal swipes that week or they will be forever lost. Also, students are given three guest swipes each semester.
