Don't walk alone by yourself at night. Campus is in the middle of a neighborhood that is no stranger to crime, so that's why Clark has the well-established program known as Escort! Escort is a fleet of student-driven minivans that will take you anywhere within a 1/4 mile radius of campus. This is extremely useful for safety and for buying groceries if you don't have a car. There is also foot-escort, less frequently used by students likely because of the awkward small talk you have to make for the duration of the walk.

History Is Only Entertaining for the Select Few – I entered into school not knowing exactly what I wanted to do. And then I discovered the Holocaust and Genocide Studies Concentration that Clark offers. I had always had an interest in World War II and the Holocaust and this really just seemed to fit me. Whenever asked what my major is and I answer with history, people always assume that I would like to become a History teacher. That's definitely not the case however. I would love to go out into the world and experience all of the devastation, loss, and hope that was brought upon by this horrific event. I find all of my Holocaust classes quite interesting, yet the core classes aren't as capable of keeping me awake and attentive. In the future I would either like to work as a researcher or a museum curator concerning the Holocaust. The great thing about Clark is that with a good enough GPA 5th year is free; and even better for me there is a Ph.d. program in the Holocaust and Genocide Studies program! Of course I have fears about finding a career, I just hope that through hard-work, studying-abroad, and internships something great will come my way.

In terms of the international students, the diversity is astounding! For domestic diversity, the White population still dominates the campus. The campus is very open about sexual orientation and political beliefs. Economic backgrounds could be talked about a little more on campus. There is a clear distinction between the wealthy and non-wealthy students.
