Online Courses: I have not taken any completely online courses. Classes were web-enhanced, but none were solely internet based.

Overall Experience: Core, or general, classes are large. Specialized classes are smaller and easier to obtain help if necessary.

Academic Experience: There is a lot of work involved, but it prepares you so well for real life as well as harder academic courses in the future. The music major gets a well-rounded education if they actively participate in private music lessons and performing ensembles.

Overall Experience: The Music Theory and Ear Training program is an under-publicized wonder of the Clark College academic offerings. I would highly recommend it to serious music students in the Clark County area.

Academic Flexibility: Most of the core classes are arranged to support students who may need a variety of hours for attendance. Working full time before admission to the nursing program I was still able to find a way to take each required pre-requisite class. Clark College's programs are competitive to get into and therefore classes would be completely full with waitlists. At times it seemed impossible to get into select classes but eventually all were mastered.

Online Courses: Most online classes have had some kind of discussion board for the peer-to-peer interaction which is easy to follow and somewhat helpful. Registration has been basic and most online class programs are pretty user-friendly. The workload is roughly the same as what I have experienced in a traditional classroom but requires more reading. Many of the online classes have professors that offer lectures to be downloaded and I found those classes to be the most informative and helpful. The only downsides to taking an online class is that some of the time I've found it hard to get assistance when e-mailing instructors and occasionally computers problems create unexpected issues.

Career Services: Honestly I have not had the opportunity to research much as I'm just beginning the Nursing program. In the fifth week of the first quarter each student met with an advisor to discuss future plans past graduation from the Nursing program. It was highly encouraged that we consider looking into a Bachelor's degree in Nursing which would require transferring to another university after graduation. The majority of nursing jobs in the surrounding areas are looking to hire nurses with a Bachelors's degree versus an Associate Nursing degree.

Overall Experience: The most interesting course I had was Microbiology at Clark College. My professor was intelligent, amazing and fascinating. I would have never imagined how much I could enjoy a class and it's atmosphere. The microbiology lab became its own small world and the students were all entertained and engaged in the topics. Class sizes are roughly 30 people which is decently large but seems to work as the majority are adults who are respectful of each other's learning and the instructors also.

Overall Experience: Many of the professors in the Nursing program pass along information about internship opportunities or volunteer work in the community. Clark College has an outstanding name throughout the community and many places are interested in hiring graduates from their Nursing program. Larger facilities such as Peace Health and Legacy hospital systems are aware of the quality of education Clark gives its students and choo

se to hire these students over others. The greatest thing I have noticed throughout my education at Clark College is the staff are always willing to help with processing, advising, directing, and responding promptly to inquiries I've made.

Academic Experience: Clark College has a well known Nursing program in this area and future jobs appear very promising in nearby hospitals. The program is set up in 8 quarters, each lasting 10 weeks and not including summer months. Each quarter focuses on a select area of the nursing field. Classes are attended three days a week, lab practice is one day of the week and clinical experience in community through facilities or hospitals is one or two days of the week. The overall workload is challenging but not impossible if great effort is made to study, test well and practice the learned clinical skills.

Overall Experience: I feel extremely lucky to be chosen for the Nursing program at Clark College as it has a great reputation. There is a good amount of cultural diversity among the student population and the majority of instructors are well educated and invested in the students. Although many of my classes are highly challenging and difficult to get into, it has been well worth my time to attend this school.

Online Courses: it's 50/50 some professors are far better than others.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I feel the courses i have taken are of quality. Class sizes range from smaller classrooms to around 20. I noticed there is some variety, but i haven't done much exploration outside of my degree.

Academic Experience: It's helpful to get into the world of medical office technologies. Teachers I have taken are in the profession and know what it's like.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Some people do not like this school because programs are cut, mine has not been - and i have had nothing but great experiences with the professors i have chosen. Make sure you use Rate My Professor, and do what you can to look at the requirements of your classes!

Academic Experience: I am in the midst of switching my major at this time.
