Obtaining parking permits on Clark's campus can be an expensive venture that most students are usually not too happy about. The prices of the parking decks are expensive considering that there are no major security measures taken to protect students' automobiles from vandalism or theft, but CAU parking services also reminds everyone that they are not responsible for vandalism or theft by displaying several signs that state this information. Students that live off campus generally prefer to park in the main parking deck, which is located near the front entrance of the campus. There are several parking decks that are located closer to campus housing for students who reside in the dorms that are not close to the main parking deck.

Parking on campus can be a real headache, and some students try to relieve their anxieties by illegally parking on side streets and roadways. There are many side streets located on and around campus for students who would rather take the chance of getting a ticket or booted than to pay the permit fee. Unfortunately, students that take this chance have a high risk of getting ticketed and fined for even the slightest illegal parking. One of the most important things for new students with cars to know is that there is a bootman on campus that seems to take pride in the amount of boots he can issue out in a single day.
