Drug Safety

Drug Safety: Student drug use is monitored

Drug Safety: People smoke in their rooms ALL the time. Sometimes they get caught, sometimes they don't. It's def easier in certain dorms (which I will not name) but you'll figure it out if you partake in those things. Majority drinks, some know their limits...others are a mess. Also since we are in ATL and everybody loves ATL rappers, on campus they try to dress like them and also like to pop pills. It's real and so are the side affects!

Drug Safety: I personally do not partake in drinking or drugs because of personal agendas with it, however; it is present in some of my classmates.

Liquor is the true king when it comes to prevalent drugs that are supposed to be banned on campus. Liquor is not a hard thing to obtain at Clark Atlanta University because other students are so willing to lend a helping hand. Students usually don't like going to the club totally sober, so a lot of the underage students get some of the upperclassmen on campus to purchase liquor for them from the local corner store. Due to the administration's strict policies, it is not advised to bring any type of liquor onto campus. Regardless of policy, it is not very difficult to sneak a bottle onto campus grounds.

Drug use is not a huge problem here at Clark Atlanta University. Students who choose not to smoke marijuana are never pressured or put down for choosing to stay away from the drug. CAU will make a home for the student that chooses to participate in the weed crowd and the student who likes to stay sober. Clark Atlanta is definitely not a school for students that are into study drugs, prescription drugs, or cocaine. CAU has extremely rare cases of reports of study drugs or prescription drug usage, and even rarer are reports of cocaine or crack usage.
