2 College Junior

Administration: The fact that you can only have coed visitation after 6 pm is terrible in my opinion. We are adults.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The office is disorganized, however the workers try there best to help you in what ever way they can.

2 College Junior

Campus Food: In comparison to other schools, the dining experience is bad. There are basically not any options besides pizza hut and the cafe. The worst thing is the fact the cafe closes at 7.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The school is alright. The downside is living on campus the housing rules are so strict.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The Greek life is important to some here on campus

Athletics: Since we do not have a football team, the other sports that we have play a big role at my school. Before most of our seasons start we have different events going on to get our school and community involve with our new coming season.

Off-Campus Dining: There are only a few dinning options near campus that you can walk to but it gets boring after while once you have ate from every place or tried them.

Party Scene: Partying on campus at my school you can't really have the fun that you want because we always have to play clean music and dance appropriate. That's why everyone parties off campus and the environment is usually great.

Campus Food: The dinning options on campus are very limited and they have the same menu every week. I get tired of eating the same food almost every day of the week. I don't like that they close the cafe at 7 on weekdays and we can't take any food out of the cafe. Because by eight O'Clock I am hungry again.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is the best to do when people are in college. The social atmosphere gives people a chance a network with others and their professors. It also gives people the chance to get to no each other and to see who attends your school.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I see the same people all the time, but the parties are turnt.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I'm attending without any loans or any money coming out of my parent's pockets

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Some things are good and others aren't. That's the case for the cafe. Pizza Hut and Jazzmans is always good.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in a suite style dorm. My suite has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each bedroom is occupied by one person and two people are assigned to one bathroom.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: really would not know because i live on campus

4 College Freshman

Administration: they do there job pretty good

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: i really don't party like that

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: there could be more of a variety in the cafe

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: it's a great social atmosphere because it is like a family here

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The education is more important and people don't really care for sports

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We can get whatever you we want if we please

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I don't really party so I wouldn't know.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It could have been easier

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: It could have more options but it is okay.

Claflin University sets itself apart by being a small, family-oriented campus—and you will notice this from the moment you first arrive here. Everyone, from the administrators to the maintenance staff, is always warm, welcoming, friendly, and ready to assist the students. It is very hard to make enemies at this school because everyone respects everyone else and where they came from. The students and faculty come from different backgrounds, yet that does not lead to segregation.

The people here possess genuine Southern hospitality, a trait that never gets old around campus, and everyone takes pride in the rich history they have become a part of at Claflin. Everyone is always focused on their academic success and achieving the desired “Claflin Confidence.” The school constantly makes a personal effort to help students achieve all their goals by helping in whatever way they can. When you graduate from Claflin, you will not only leave with your diploma, but you will also leave with a wealth of great friendships and family bonds that you have made with others at the University. It truly is a rewarding experience.
