The quality of courses and professors is terrific. I brag about my professors all the time. If there's a weakness it is in the variety of courses offered. For instance, if I want to learn Mandarin, I have to go to another campus. The arts courses are minimal at Truman, but again, another City College has more arts classes or more theater. This is however, the way the organization is reorganizing. Consolidating all classes of a particular type together under one roof. This should supposedly be more cost effective- we shall see!

Currently I'm majoring in computer information systems and so far the courses are great! I'm also pursuing a degree in zoology and perhaps veterinary medicine but currently am going to school on a scholarship so in all honesty, I have to give this school an A because they have the program my scholarship paid for, but I could also rate them a c because they don't offer too much in the area of zoology other than a general zoology course. The C is a personal opinion based solely on them not offering a degree in Zoology. This is a personal opinion and should not reflect on the school as this school is here for you to achieve your associates degree or certificate and areas of study are generally focused more on bachelors programs at universities, not community colleges, such as the one I am attending.

I really love the cosmetology program at my school! I enjoy all my teachers they are well educated and well informed and have lots of experience in the industry. I also have lots of opportunities to go to hair shows, conferences and have different speakers come in and talk to the students about the industry, their story, and how they were able to achieve success. We also have product knowledge workshops so that we are well informed about the things that we may encounter on a job.
