3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: All employees, both new and old, attended the seminar on the newly revised Title IX Policy against Sexual Assault on and off campus. All students do get alerts of sexual assault, but most are at least two to three days after the incident happened, and I feel as though by then, it might be too late for anyone on campus to do anything.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I fell really safe at this school.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Sexual assaults are announced but how are they being stopped?

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: CNU and Campus Police provided the student support with great support. Students are notified whenever a crime occurs.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Some areas of Newport News are not the safest but CNU itself is a very safe campus. I am a 110 pound girl and I frequently would walk across campus at four in the morning without worrying. There could be more blue boxes around but I have literally NEVER been harrassed or yelled at by men. If there is any kind of crime then the university is quick to notify the entire campus via email while also protecting the identity of the victim. The President and his wife are VERY passionate about sexual assault prevention and the faculty is kind and helpful when it comes to these issues. Some students have a horrible perspective on it but that will happen anywhere, generally it is very safe and the culture on campus is very supportive of preventing assault. I have always felt safe walking around on campus.
