3 College Freshman

Parking: I do not have a car, but the commuters often complain about there not being enough parking spots.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Mostly, everyone in school is apart of Greek life. I do not know much about Greek life, but they do a lot of fundraisers for different causes.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I enjoy being in my program at school very much. The teachers are nice and are more than willing to help you. They may give a lot of work, but it is nothing that is impossible to do with time and effort. The teachers always email students different internship opportunities.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I have not had an internship, but I do plan on getting one. I do not have any concerns about getting an internship because my teachers have taught me how to look for one and how to apply. Right now, I am assisting my advisor with a research study she is conducting.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I am not really sure of how many people are underage drinking, but from what I see and hear there are quite a few people. They sell alcohol on campus, but you have to show identification. I think most students get someone they know who is of drinking age to buy the liquor for them. I have never been pressured to drink nor have I had liquor on campus.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The food is not very healthy, but since I live and campus and do not have any money to eat out, I am forced to eat the food in the cafeteria. If you eat at the other eating establishments on campus it can get expensive.

5 College Freshman

Academics: All of my teachers are awesome! They are always willing to help you with any problems you may be having. It is a lot of work, but it is nothing that cannot be done with much needed time and effort. The faculty is always sending internship opportunities through email at least twice a week.

5 College Freshman

Academics: The teachers are great. They are willing to work one on one with you if you need them to. The teacher to student ratio is 1:13. Also, the school has tutor centers for math, writing, and science so that help everyone a lot. There is a lot of work, but it is nothing that cannot be done. Many people study outside when the weather is nice, the library or one of the eating facilities.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: The school is very expensive to attend. I have received some financial aid, but it is not enough. It is just my first year in college and I am already over nine thousand dollars in debt. I really love the school , but if this continues I will have to transfer.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: The school's atmosphere is really great. Everyone is really nice and accepting of everyone's different backgrounds. I love the school.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Memphis weather is wishy washy. One day you will need a coat, the next day you will be wearing sandals and shorts.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The Greeks are very present on campus. I'm a non-Greek and have found that the Greeks that I have met are pretty much like everyone else.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I would say the most of the dorms are average. The worst dorm in my opinion is Stritch just because of it's distance from the class buildings and the size of the rooms. But if you are on a budget it might be for you.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are alot of good restaurants on Madison Ave and the general Mid town area, which is not very far from school. I'm not aware of student discounts though.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Professors are very nice and helpful. They will help you out if you are struggling.

I noticed the the most popular majors here are Biology, Psychology, and Engineering.

As far as the registration process, it's been fairly easy for me. Classes don't fill up as quickly because the school is small. But when I come across full classes, I contact the professor and they let me in.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I eat from Alfonso alot and I think the food is ok. Food from the Buc is alot like a fast food place. If you are a vegetarian or vegan you won't like eating here because I noticed that there aren't alot of alternatives.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The reason why I chose CBU is the amount of financial aid I got. My scholarships take care of most of my tuition and I'm going to apply for work study to take care of the rest.

I have to thank my admissions counselor for helping me. She warned me to wait a couple weeks before I enroll because she knew about a grant that was coming in. I waited and I got it!

4 College Sophomore

Technology: The computer labs are great. I have my own computer but I use the labs to print off stuff with alot of pages. Printing is free on campus; no limits. The computer labs are never full when I go, but I've heard that they sometimes can be.

When I was a freshman last year, the wifi was horrible. It has improved very much since then. Alot faster and reliable.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: CBU is very diverse. There are many students from different states and countries.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: good parties with people you know

3 College Freshman

Parking: Commuter fills up when there is an event

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Non-Greeks dont care about greeks but are still friends! Greek life is awesome and I have met some of my bffs there. there is no special housing available though, which is a bummer

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Depends on the housing you choose.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Midtown food in Memphis is awesome!

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: They made sure I had what I needed for school. The tuition can be a little scary, but I am very satisfied with the scholarships given out. In my experience, and those that I have talked to, scholarships are abundant at CBU, but you have to be pretty smart/ have good gpa/ be involved in things in high school, etc.
