Scholarships: I have been constantly mislead by the financial aid staff at CBU. I was told many different reward amounts and I am still in need of aid. For a school that says they give out the best scholarships and it's a great investment, they sure do make it hard for out-of-state students to stay at their school.

Campus Food: The hours are horrible, the caf doesn't open very early and it closes too soon. The weekend hours are worse, it opens for brunch when people are going to work and closes right when they get back, so the students who work on weekends can't eat on campus. The menu isn't bad, its somewhat predictable. I think that we should be able to choose our meal plan and opt to not have one at all.

Campus Housing: I think that living on campus is essential to a well rounded college experience. That being said, the food options are sub-par at best and the lack of apartments with kitchen capabilities makes students want to move off campus or live at home. It is expensive to live on campus so it only makes sense that there should be more housing options as well as better food.

Off-Campus Dining: Mulan, pretty much everything on poplar

Administration: They're always around and really nice making them easy to approach.

Party Scene: There seem to be parties all week. But a majority of the parties are on the weekends except for sunday.

Scholarships: They told me pretty quickly the one's i was eligible for. The application process was easy. They were available for questions at all times.

2 College Sophomore

Administration: Don't do anything about complaints

Off-Campus Housing: Like most cities it varies based on location. If you look around there's usually something for whatever type of house you're looking for.

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: Though we have some really good teams, not a lot of people come to the games. This is largly due to it being a commuter college

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: School is located in the middle of memphis

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I have yet to have a professor i don't like. The faculty is required to have 10 office hours a week so it is easy to get to know them and ask for help. Professors usually know you by name due to small class sizes

Administration: New dean of student life is great! He is doing a great job transforming campus into a safe and fun place to be. It is a wet campus so very lenient on alcohol.

Scholarships: If you are trying to receive a sports scholarship, go find the coach and meet with them! Do not rely on emails and phonecalls. Get to the financial office ASAP

5 College Freshman

Administration: The school provides plenty of opportunities to excel socially and academically on campus. There are plenty of clubs and its very easy to create clubs as well.

Health & Safety: The campus is extremely safe. You have trained officers patrolling at all hours and the campus safety office is easily accessible. You feel very comfortable talking with campus safety officers. There is little to no crime on campus.

Campus Food: The few meal I've had have been great. The only thing i complain about is the pricing.

Health & Safety: Christian Brothers University has absolutely one of the best securities I've ever seen. They treat each student with dignity and respect and care for the safety of everyone. Every where you go your are bound to cross at least one security guard at anytime of the day. They are always ready to help and always watch out for their students.

Off-Campus Housing: I live off campus with my parents. It is the best thing i could think of doing. Most students live in the Christian Brothers University Campus and they love it. I have never heard anyone complain or say anything negative about it. But i am not a big fan of living away from home so i just commute.

Scholarships: Financial Aid was a little hard to get at first because for some odd reason the school thought I was illegal. They tried denying my Fasfa and their financial aid. It took many phone calls and lost of trips to the college to get everything settled out. Yes it was a pain in the butt but it was worth it. i think i would advice high school students to begin their financial aid process as soon as possible so that they aren't stuck facing all the struggles that i faced.

Diversity: Everyone is accepted no matter who they are or where they come from. For example the LGBT community has started a club of their own to raise awareness of discrimination against the LGBT community. Also, different ethnic groups join together in learning about each others cultural differences. Many races and ethnic groups do not have their own group, but intermingle and become friends with those of different races and cultural backgrounds.
