Academic Flexibility

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I enjoy the way Chemeketa Community College provides a flexible schedule for students. Monday through Saturday optional hours, hybrid(once a week) and online courses. I'm full-time employed and students. I work Monday through Friday until 4 PM and I have class after 5 PM. I manage my school schedule while I can complete 40 hours a week at work. I also take online classes in case I can't take lecture or hybrid classes.

Academic Flexibility: I feel the biggest thing that this college has to offer is flexibility. Professors and staff know that students have work, family commitments, etc., and because of that offers various classes at different times in the best time for you. There is a clear curriculum as to what you will need in terms of credits to get your degree.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: As a community college, transferring of credits is a huge part of the process and so far it has been great

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have two jobs and I attend this school. Chemeketa advisors helped me picked classes needed and how to manage my time between work and classes. There are evening and weekend classes I was able to take and it helped me so much to accomplish my goals this term.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My experience has been relatively simple. I've struggled somewhat with finding enough classes to fit my specific schedule, but it's worked out so far pretty easily. The transferring of credits was self-explanatory and easy to figure out. Working out schedules and credits have been relatively easy.
