3 College Junior

Majors: The most difficult process is making sure that financial aid is accounted for, but that is true for all colleges.

Majors: So far, Charter Oak seems to be pretty fair when it comes to ensuring adequate education in my field. Work opportunities don't exist though

1 College Junior

Athletics: There is no athletic department at Charter Oak because its all online.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Flexibility is the most important quality that Charter Oak provides. Truly they are a school that provides "Degrees without boundaries".

1 College Junior

Campus Quality: Unfortunately, as with all online colleges, Charter Oak has close to no social outlets for students

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: Realistically, being able to go to school from home is my best option. I have a full time job and lots of financial responsibilities as well as two dogs to take care of, so its know that I can work school to fit my busy schedule.

5 College Senior

Majors: I love the program at Charter Oak

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Great major options, some that you can't find at other schools.

4 College Sophomore

Technology: It is an online school, so you provide your own computer and internet. The software you can get as a student is average and priced good. They have good tech support for any issues involving the schools website and blackboard.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: It is great because there is no campus, it is an online college.

5 College Senior

Majors: My school accepts almost all transfer credits.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I was not pleased with the setup of the website but receiving financial aid is relatively easy when you're as poor as I am.

4 College Senior

Campus Quality: For older students, especially with a family and a job, Charter Oak is great. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to finally finish their degree!

4 College Senior

Academics: So far, I have liked my professors and have been able to handle the workload, while still feeling challenged.

4 College Senior

Academics: All of my classes are online and there are weekly deadlines. It's not easier than traditional school, but it is different. I'm used to it now and like the on-line experience. I have a family, so it's convenient to be able to stay home.

4 College Senior

Diversity: Based on message boards, there seems to be quite a bit of diversity of all kinds.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Rules and Regulations have been implemented for the safety of our campus, I feel safe when on campus

4 College Junior

Administration: I am glad there is a zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use on campus, makes me feel safe. the parking is pleasant and all the other rules and in place for a reason which is understanding, I don't live in a dorm so I don't have much to say about that but I think that making students feel safe is very important and I am satisfied with the current strictness of charter college

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I recently applied for fasfa grant which is currently processing, The sub and unsub loans are a bit scary because it is a lot of money to take on being that I am a single parent trying to make ends meet, but even with all this money it is still not enough to pay for my associates degree for which I am in need of in order to secure a good job, the financial aid department is telling me to apply for another loan which will cover all the remaining balance needed to fund my education, I am just a little worried about how I may be able to pay back the loans with no job and 4kids, I am currently applying for scholarships but I am in for some competition as there are several other applicants seeking assistance, I just wish that school was a little more affordable.
