2 College Junior

Greek Life: During the period that most Greek organizations are looking to recruit is about the only time I've seen them

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few places right off campus, like Waffle House, Dunkin Doughnuts, Subway, Firehouse Subs, Starbucks, Arby's.

3 College Junior

Academics: The curriculum is difficult, but not impossibly so. As long as you take a work load that isn't overwhelming with too many classes, it is manageable, though there are a few more christian classes that are required to graduate so most degree paths can take up to 5 years.

4 College Junior

Local Area: Charleston is a wonderful city with lots to do, as long as you know where to look. Downtown has a lot of options, and there is a bus that takes you there from campus. The Battery is a good place to visit, along with Folly Beach. Market Street and King street are good for shopping.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It's pretty streamlined process, though usually it's a slow process and financial aid doesn't actually get awarded until a month or so after school has started.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: The cafeteria, java cafe, and chickfilet. The cafeteria is the most affordable, but the least appealing, while chickfilet is so expensive with relatively few options, and the java cafe is a coffee shop with a few food options as well.

4 College Junior

Athletics: There is a great atmosphere that surrounds sports activities and athletes, and it definitely shows at the athletic events with how much support the school, students, and faculty show at games.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The prices can range from cheap to expensive, though you pay for what you get. Most of the expensive apartments are only average in most cases, and the cheap ones are really not very good quality.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are decent sizes, there is a good atmosphere. Very expensive though.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: there are still minor crimes that are on campus but to ensure that one crime, sexual assault, cease to exist is for students to have to sign their guests in and keep their doors open.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The only thing i can really say is that its best to keep all your documents up to date and with you.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: the best place to go for a late night run for some food would have to be cookout in my opinion. its in walking distance, they have the cookout tray which is the students discount and the food is good annd cheap.

College Sophomore

Athletics: I am not really a big fan of any form of sports personally but from what i have seen, the team's performance are exceptional.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is not something csu has however, the students are able to learn the learn the language.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The workload is not as bad as it would seem having to study business calculus, economics, visual studios. had more free time than anything with these classes.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Can't say exactly. to focused on my studies to notice any recruiting on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I did have my fair share of problems with the courses but that is my fault. overall, i had a very good experience with the professors and their teaching styles being not to difficult to follow.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Can not really say for sure being that i never lived off campus, i was under the age during my time at csu.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Theres nothing that spectacular thats around csu. just the usual stores, multitude of resturants and the downtown area that students go to for the weekend.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: The only rule could really affect the students social life is the visitation hours and a bit of misunderstanding which could end up with the student in trouble and paying a fine.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls at csu are very understanding of others interests but take it upon themselves to invite any and everyone to any social gatherings

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: The cafeteria food is horrible. I ate at Chickfila all the time.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: There really isn't a party scene since Charleston Southern is a dry campus.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid office is very slow and not very helpful. I have signed papers twice to have my work study money deposited straight to my account and I am still receiving checks at my home two hours away from school.

3 College Freshman

Majors: To get into the athletic training program, you must apply. Of the class applying in the spring, approximately sixty people, only fifteen will get in.
