Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Houston: Everyone has my major, everyone is very helpful. The workload is high, but the curriculum is feasible. There are vast job opportunities

Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Houston: They have three professors currently, the other campus has a lot. The curriculum is standard. The registration process is frustrating because it is not done independently and it has the capacity to change. The workload is high, the study options are limited, because you must study to pass.

Career Services at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Houston: If I plan to continue my education there they have really good rates on alumni education

Campus Resources at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Houston: We only have a campus library, but the amenities around there are numerous. Everything inside the building is quite small

Academic Flexibility at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Houston: Sometimes they take entirely too long to review grades, and most advisers are not aware of what is going on.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Houston: I know its a private school and it is new, but these rates are unbelievably too high. They do not have financial aid for students that are just entering.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Chamberlain College of Nursing - St. Louis Westline: Well, most of the students have financial aid, student loans, and private loans. Some have to work in addition to all the previous loans. It is very expensive. I feel that the school can make a bit more effort to offer more pell grants, since the school is the one who determines the amount of aid you receive.

Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - St. Louis Westline: My school is a Nursing purpose college which is great. I learn everything that I need in order to become a registered nurse.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - St. Louis Westline: I love the small class sizes. The program is accelerated and it is tedious but not impossible. The professors are very experienced, engaging, and caring. It also offers tutoring! Something that most nursing schools do not have.

Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Addison: Chamberlain College of Nursing has one main focus and they are a very reputable establishment.

Online Courses at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Addison: Online class overall consumes much less time than that of a traditional classroom. I enjoy the self-paced nature. However I find myself frustrated with the majority of my fellow classmates who are not currently working while attending online school. They have the ability to post numerous times throughout the day while I have to catch up on numerous posts after long work days.

Campus Resources at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Addison: My entire course is online so this does not apply.

Tuition & Financial Aid at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Addison: I registered late and the financial adviser kept calling me to finalize my plan while I was working (ICU RN). I was very distracted trying to get off the phone and she kept rambling on. Now I look at my financial page and am totally confused

Campus Resources at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Phoenix: The library is open to everyone. There are computers, study rooms, printers, and a help desk. It's fairly easy to get help if you need it whether it's from staff or students. The printer isn't always working, so students should pay attention when they come in. Sometimes it's packed and sometimes it's empty and quiet. It depends on the time of day and the time of the session. In the mornings it's usually quiet, and in the afternoon it's packed.

There's an area for nursing students where they come to do homework, work on projects, or prepare for exams. There's the general room you come into, the study rooms, and the tutor offices. It's not mandatory to go there, but it's really beneficial for students to show up especially if their grade is not where it needs to be. The staff even sends you a notice if your grade isn't great. They really try to reach out and help, but it's ultimately the student's responsibility to go get it.

Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Phoenix: To be a student at my school majoring in nursing you have to make sure you have enough free time to do all the studying that is required of you. The homework is usually doable, but studying for the tests can be a lot of work because they cover so many text heavy chapters. You have to do selective reading because you could waste time reading one huge chapter only to find out it's barely covered in the exams. Yes it's important to read everything, but if you have a test coming up you have to be selective of what you review. Focus on the most important things.

The school itself is very nice. It's clean, easy to navigate, and there's a lot of help offered from staff and students. There's also a lot of opportunity to practice your skills so that you can do better at clinical.

Academic Experience at Chamberlain College of Nursing - Phoenix: The professors are really helpful and offer many opportunities to meet up with students if they need additional help. They're friendly, engaging, and clear with what they require of students.

The class registration process can be hectic. A lot of my classmates have jobs and kids and so they fight for the most convenient times for them, so some of the most wanted hours get taken up fast. Those who aren't there to sign up immediately get stuck with whatever's left. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have a really busy life. You'll have to make some sacrifices.
