3 College Sophomore

Weather: The distance from any dorm on campus to any classroom building is so short that the local weather does not affect the experience much. However, like typical Kentucky weather, the weather is never typical.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It's Kentucky... one minute it's 60 degrees and sunny, the next there's an ice storm. Luckily all classes are no more than a 5 minute walk from any residence hall.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The weather is beautiful! Plenty of nice, sunny days! The humidity is terrible though!

3 College Junior

Weather: The staff were great and more excited than you. When you enroll in school. Which tells me that this school would be a great school for me because they care about the career you chosen.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Weather is not too bad.

The weather in Kentucky can be pretty crazy, especially for non-natives. The falls tend to be warm and ease into winter, which is often really cold. Students seem to really like the outdoors and can be seen eating dinner outside when the weather is warm enough or just studying outside. The winter can be pretty cold, and all the beautiful snow really loses its charm, especially by late March.

Sometimes the great hot sunny weather can take awhile to start up but, by the last part of spring semester, the weather is amazing, usually. Rain can be a drag in both fall and spring, but storms are usually short, lasting only a few hours. Pack all types of clothing for Centre; you'll need it all of it at some time. It's also a good idea to bring an umbrella.
