3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: One thing that has been very frustrating are the transfer credits. I attended an entire school year at OSU, and my school only allowed THREE of those courses to transfer. Now I am back to being a freshman, and because I can only afford to take 2 courses at a time, I will be a freshman for a while.

Campus Quality: This kind of goes back to my comment about the Warner Center. I think it's one of the best student centers I have seen. There's booths and tables for students to eat, study, and hang out with their friends between classes. The advisers also do a great job of making students feel like they care.

Overall Experience: COTC is a very well put together school. The staff is friendly and willing to help. As long as you do your work, study, and communicate well with your professors, success is easily attainable!

Campus Resources: The Newark campus, whether OSU Newark or COTC is very resourceful. There is a building called the Warner Center. It has a student bookstore, library, food court, security office, and a few meeting rooms. The food offered is great, so is the service that comes with it. The library offers computers for students to use as well as a printer. The bookstore holds all of the course materials students would need for each specific semester, and the employees are always very helpful.

Online Courses: I really enjoy online courses, especially at COTC. I have taken online courses elsewhere and have struggled a bit. COTC professors make online schooling nice though. They are prompt with their email responses, and are understanding if there is ever a technical issue. I enjoy being able to teach myself, but at the same time having a professor there to help me along the way.

Student Body: I would say the campus is very diverse. There are students of all different races, creeds, and sexual orientation. I think the school itself is very accepting, and goes out of its way to celebrate diversity.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall I have been pretty pleased with my school. I think I have to take too many pre requisites but I am sure they will be helpful for the future. The student advisors are always helpful and kind. This school as a comfortable atmosphere and is very friendly. I would always reccomend this school.

Academic Experience: Currently I am taking pre reqs so I have not started my program yet. The workload has been pretty light so far.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The student advisors are always helpful with the registration process and there are always reminders posted around the school. The programs mostly associated with this school is the nursing program, however I am attending to become a medical diagnostic sonographer.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Many people who attend my college are older and so they have families and jobs The college is very flexible, they have classes very early or late in the evening.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Students at my branch of the college are pretty much kept to themselves.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The college provides a lot of information about how to fill out finanical aid forms and they are always willing to help with the process. I believe I am taking too many pre reqs that is waste of my financial aid. I have a good exoerience with the financial aid office, they are always helpful.

Campus Resources: At the Coshocton Campus there are no athletic centers that I am aware of. There is also no library, however occasionally there is a pop up book store that will come to the campus. The Coshocton Campus does not really have anything exciting because it is not the main campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I don't like that we have to pay to print off papers. We already pay enough for books and such why can't some paper be free? The network reliability is great. The computer labs are always nice and quiet so it's easy to focus.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I am not very familiar with this topic.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I really enjoyed taking online courses because everything is due on Sunday evenings so you don't have to cram in everything. I really enjoyed using the Mcgraw Hill Connect program for my psychology class. It was very helpful in learning about the topics. I wish the professors were more readily available to ask questions however. Overall I was very pleased with their online courses.

Campus Quality: Campus life is very laid back at the Coshocton Campus. This school year the campus is completly tobacco free which is nice so we don't have to smell like smoke from others. It would be nice if they actually had food options instead of the typical vending machines. Having real food would bring in money in for the college. All of the computers are pretty nice and up to date. Overall the Coshocton campus of Central Ohio Technical College is very nice.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have not been in school long enough to answer

College Freshman

Online Courses: Haven't started an online course yet but the tech support is very supportive when you have computer or any technical problems

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Computer lab is always available during campus hours and there is plenty of computers ready for when more students are in need of it

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Smaller amount of students so you have smaller classrooms and room for yourself if you new or want it for studying yet everyone is there for help

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am really just starting at this school but I hope for good things.

College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Every school is expensive but being a community college it is cheaper per credit hour. I am still having trouble getting my FAFSA through though because I am unable to collect my parents tax transcripts

College Freshman

Overall Experience: If I could do it all over again I would do A lot better in high school, make better financial decisions and go away for school so I could really focus on what I want to do with my education

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: There is plenty of options you can choose from for any assistance you need
