Online Courses

Online Courses: I am definitely a class room learner. I've taken a couple of online classes, but I don't think they have benefited me as much as if I had taken the class in a class room. Part of the problem is because I was only taking them because I needed a certain number of credit hours, but my program schedule was a little funky, so the only way I could get all of my credits was by online classes. My opinion might be different about the matter if I was taking an online class I was actually interested in.

The workload hasn't been terrible. The registration process is the same as for classroom classes. There is not as much of a professor/student relationship.

Online Courses: I have taken a lot of online courses! Most are great and convenient. However, I had one teacher who did not know how to use the online software!!! I had to drop the class because his explaination of the software was unknowlegable and he was getting no where in the first two weeks. Other than that teacher, most teachers know the online software well and can troubleshoot most problems. If they can't, they send it to the IT staff to deal with it quickly. Most teachers have an acheivable workload and some have an easy workload. Most teachers are willing to work with the students outside of the online classtime.
