3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: If you find the right dorm, it's great. Great people, lots of activities so much involvement. Moving off campus, not so much.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: It depends on the place

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is a good variety

4 College Junior

Administration: CMU is a great place to be!

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Scholarships end in 4 years and there are many 5 year programs

4 College Junior

Campus Food: It is ok - lots of choices!

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: Everything was super easy, even for someone like me who was coming in as a non-traditional, second-degree seeking student.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: Greek life isn't really the focus on campus since it is mostly overshadowed by the major sports teams. But if you're interested you can find them.

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: The facilities which all students have access to are really nice. But of course that just shows where all your tuition is going.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: There are a ton of places all around Mt. Pleasant. Most off campus students end up renting from one of the several giant complexes. Mt. Pleasant is clearly a college town since there seem to be more giant apartment complexes than normal residential neighborhoods.

Off-Campus Dining: There are actually several great places to walk to from campus. There is an especially delicious, authentic Korean restaurant super close!

3 Recent Alumnus

Administration: Just like most places, there are good administrators and there are bad ones. I would have given them an overall higher rating if there hadn't been a student who was caught cheating for several weeks and he was allowed to stay within the department. It was a slap in the face to the rest of us who worked really hard.

3 Recent Alumnus

Party Scene: I'm starting to get tired of the "party scene" since it is always the same drunk people doing stupid things.

4 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: I was able to win two separate scholarships through my department.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It takes them forever to get back to you on what financial aid you've received, and then they want money immediately after. How are you supposed to know what you can afford if you don't know what kind of money you are getting?

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: pretty good taste, and good options. Fresh is run by idiots. Closes too early i need late night food. But also makes me poop my pants

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Pretty old, but gets the job done. The space is average. Great people and good times.

1 College Student

Greek Life: They're very full of themselves and very obnoxious and entitled. It's nauseating. They put a bad name to what Greek life is supposed to be.

3 College Student

Athletics: The SAC is pretty decent, but if you aren't already in shape, people are sort of nasty.

Off-Campus Dining: It's just about as diverse as at home where I live. You can find what you need usually.

3 College Student

Administration: You really will only get into trouble if you aren't mindful of your actions. Most authorities don't go out of their way to get to you, so if you aren't dumb, you won't get in trouble. Parking is serious though. Do not park where your permit does not cover or your tickets will rack up quickly.

2 College Student

Scholarships: Not many scholarships, most are only available for very specific situations or they run out quickly. If you're planning on applying, apply as early as possible.

3 College Student

Party Scene: I am not really a party-er so I'm not really a good authority on this subject, but the parties I've been through in comparison to other parties I've been at both at home and at other campuses, it is okay but not really "great." Also, Wayside (the local club) is a dive. DO NOT GO THERE.

Campus Food: There are not NEARLY enough healthy options. I am a vegetarian and often find myself stuck eating cheese pizza or something else not so healthy because they DO NOT take care of their produce. Beyond that, the hours of the cafe are HORRIBLE and if you go between 1 PM and 3:30 PM, the options (or lack their of) are laughable.

Campus Housing: I love living in North Campus at Central Michigan. I live in Barnes Hall and the community is fantastic. It is so inclusive and everyone is such a tight community but are so welcoming to everyone. I have a strong sense of family and everyone embraces each other and respects each others differences. On top of that, I live in community bath and it actually is very clean and homey. And my room is SO MUCH BIGGER than I thought it would be!
