Campus Resources: The resources are all there athletics, student centers, library, campus activities you just have to take the initiative to get involved or use them.

Online Courses: I have taken a few online classes and I love them. Some people do not like them because you need to be very disciplined to get the workload accomplished which can be a lot depending on the class and instructor. The registration process was simple and there is a lot of unique features of the D2L online classes such as paging or emailing instructor or other students in the class for help or questions.

Student Body: I can only speak of the students in my cohort for nursing as that is all I know of with in the school but we are all dedicated to doing a good job in class to ultimately be good nurses. We are their for each other if someone is not understanding certain material and such so very supportive group.

Academic Flexibility: I have not had any problems with classes/curriculum I do as I am told and that is required of me and I have no complaints. The thing is in my program we have to have an 80% with is passing at a C so there is not a lot of room for not doing homework or not studying or you fail and that is on you not the instructors.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I personally have not had any problems with financial aid at my school other than I have been going to school for 6 years now and have maxed out my funds. I definitely feel like all colleges charge way to much for tuition and mine is no exception. I feel like I'm getting a great education but I think all colleges are expensive. When filling for financial aid my only suggestion is to start the process early don't put it off and think they should just jump through hoops to get to yours first. I ha

Academic Experience: I technically can't give it's the best as I have nothing to compare to as I have only attended this school. Our instructors for my AD (RN) program are wonderful. They are very helpful when needed and accommodating with teaching in using all techniques to include visual aids and audio power points as well as allowing us to record our lectures. Our curriculum is very rigorous and fast pasted and does not allow much time for anything else except for homework and studying but we are told this during our orientation so we know what to expect. I do not know much about the internship/job opportunities as I have not had the time to entertain either one of these do to work and study load.

Academic Experience: The class registration for my particular program is super easy because the program only allows 40 students and we all take the same classes so signing up is just a matter of adding the only classes offered within the program to our schedule. We have study groups that we set up within our program but the learning center also has tutors for other classes for other programs.

Overall Experience: Great school for the most part. Happy I'm here.

Overall Experience: The school has a lot of nice programs with a small town feel. I enjoy intimate campus.

Campus Resources: The athletic department seems great for a 2 year college. Other groups and activities appear to be adequate as well. I am an older adult learner and do not find a lot support for my specific demographic.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid and foundation scholarships have been adequate. I would like to see more scholarship opportunities. I feel there are some great opportunities for the local community to present the students in specific programs with scholarship offers.

Student Body: Good diversity in student interest and programs available.

Academic Flexibility: Most of my credits transferred...it would have been nice to have my nursing school credits from NHCC to be counted as 1 semester of LPN school. Paying and attending both semesters at two different Mnscu colleges, seems redundant.

Career Services: I do not have any experience with transferring courses. I will need to transfer my courses to Bemidji State University.

Online Courses: Registration is simple enough. The professors differ in their online approach; therefore, the experience is always different . Most classes I've taken online, have been run in a very productive manner.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I'm in the nursing program. The program is a LPN bridge to RN degree. The faculty is very helpful an readily available.

Academic Experience: Nursing, both practical nursing and registered nursing programs; 2year corrections degrees, wildlife management, dentistry, computer classes and general associate of arts courses.

Overall Experience: Overall, I think that CLC is giving me the same as every other college for a lower price. I feel that when I transfer to a 4 year university, I will have saved myself a few thousand dollars. And I will still have a degree to show for it!

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I have only taken 1 online class. I prefer taking it in person because then it forces me to get up and go to class and learn. I also think I learn better by listening and watching, not just reading in a book. Although I did enjoy my one online class, I just prefer to take classes physically and not virtually.

Student Body: Because of the possibilities of the AA degree, there are a lot of PSEO kids that go there from surrounding high schools because they can almost get the degree for free. So that means that most of the school is made up of PSEO kids. This is kind of a bummer if you are not because most of the people to get to know are all high school kids. Then of course a majority of the kids not in high school are there to participate in the athletics programs. There are also a lot older people there that are going back to school to get their degrees.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Well the nice thing about the AA degree program is there is a lot of people there doing it. In fact I would say most the people in the school are there for the AA.

Workload really varies by class. English classes are different than math, Biology is different than physics.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I think the academics are great! The professors love their respective subjects, the curriculums are highly educational, and registration is fast and easy!

Tuition & Financial Aid: CLC is a great place to go school for the price. If you are looking for a cheaper way to go to school definitely look at CLC. Even if you want a 4 year degree. With the options you have for the AA degree, and the low tuition, you will save a TON of money.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I will be transferring to a 4 year university. Can't help much here.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: It really just depends on which resource. The gym looks nice, but it is tiny; and it is locked a lot of the time. So it is only available to either volleyball or basketball players. The weight room is kind of horrible. There are plenty of kids that use it. It could really use an upgrade. I would even pay a membership fee for it. Inter-murals are pretty much a joke. I played basketball but it pretty much sucked because nobody wanted to ref, and the season only lasted about 2 or 3 weeks because the "supervisor" stopped coming.

As far and the library goes I would say it would be tough to have one better for the size school CLC is. Whoever is in charge of the databases and books is doing an excellent job. I had giant research project last semester and with the resources in the library it was actually not to bad. It was also very educational. The library is also a great place to go to get your homework done. There are dozens of tables in there to study by yourself, or with classmates. A lot of times most of them are not being used.
