Scholarships: Financial aid is always quickly displayed online on the student pipeline, and accepting award/loan offers is literally as easy as checking a box and cllicking the "submit" button. Any credits to your account are usually applied quickly (within a day or two). Just be careful when accepting aid awards! Because it's so easy to accept aid offers, it's possible to accidentally accept a loan you don't want or need if you click through everything without reading. If you're usure of what you need or what the difference between a loan and a grant is, or anything else, you can always go to the financial aid office to try and work it out. They've been generally very helpful in my experience, and even helped me understand the entire loan process during my first semester.

I highly recommend submitting the general scholarship application that CCSU offers for the chance to get awarded any of the available annual scholarships directly through the school. It's not difficult to apply, and the award amounts are large. There's a huge directory of possible scholarships and all their requirements on the institution website that outline exactly what scholarships you qualify for based on major or interests, so there's no reason to not apply.

Scholarships: I come from a lower to middle class family with two parents so I didn't receive much aid for the year. I made several attempts to reach out to the school and ask for more aid and all they awarded me was $2,000 a year which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Because I'm a Connecticut resident and received relatively good grades in high school I expected a little more in terms of financial aid and was completely let down.

Scholarships: Unfortunately for me, I did not receive any scholarships. The financial aid went well and we didn't run into any major problems applying for it.
