Administration: CCSU pretty strictly enforces its policies as a dry campus. If alcohol is found in your room, you absolutely will face some degree of trouble, depending on how often it happens and how you handle it. RAs are generally pretty cool about just getting rid of whatever you have and not getting punished too badly if it's a first offense, but you risk severe punishment for multiple offenses. This goes especially for underage students. People getting caught smoking weed in their rooms happens less frequently but in all cases I've seen of it, they got kicked out of housing. Smoking cigarettes isn't technically allowed on campus either (there are scattered designated smoking areas) but it doesn't appear to be very strictly enforced currently.

Visitation policies vary from hall to hall, but as an example from my previous building: guests were allowed, but must sign in after a certain time of night. Guests must be over 18. Guests couldn't sleep over more than three times a week. (This was the policy but it was either enforced or things could slide depending on the night and person on duty). Late night quiet hours are decently enforced as well, especially during finals week.

Also, longboarding/skateboaring, biking, scooters, etc. are big on campus and you're allowed to freely go on the walkways with your prefered medium of totally rad transportation.

Administration: The only interaction I ever had with the CCSU police is when they helped me jump my car one afternoon. They were very polite and helpful. However, I've heard they can be pretty strict with students who park in restricted areas and give out tickets left and right. Admittedly, drinking does occur on campus and in the dorms and not much is done about it. You can get away with pretty much anything (to an extent) as long as your quite and smart about it.

Administration: The campus is a dry campus, but that doesn't stop anyone from drinking. My Resident Assistant's rarely write anyone up for alcohol usage, when they are well and clear someone is in possession of it.

Administration: If you follow rules, there are no problems

Administration: It could be better, I wish there was less smoking of pot in the rooms because it stinks up the whole dorm. And I wish there was more enforcement on noise violations because those aren't taken seriously and sometimes I can't sleep because of it
