5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Workload is hefty during class hours, not so hard outside of the classroom.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall Experience: wonderful!

I learn a lot, I enjoy the classes, I make new friends--awesome altogether!

For all reasons above I would choose this school again.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Very convenient, wide selection of classes, understanding instructors.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Online courses do not have the face-to-face interaction aspect of traditional classroom classes. Workload is pretty much the same, professor/student relationship is probably not as friendly or informal as in a real classroom.

3 College Junior

Career Services: Most courses at Central Arizona College are there with a view of transferring to a university such as Arizona State University or University of Arizona.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Most professors are experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Quality of courses depends on quality of instructor, which is almost always excellent.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are student job opportunities all around campus, the majority though is employed non-student faculty.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: My major is Culinary Arts. Workload is hefty during class hours, but not too big outside of the classroom. Facilities are excellent, job opportunities are moderately available.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are several faculty members that are my advisers and classroom teachers, as well as good friends. This college has people from many backgrounds and races, which makes for a culturally diverse environment. I would definitely come here again if I could do it all over.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: love most of the flexibility

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: online is a lot more convenient, for people who have to work can pretty much log on anytime and anywhere.

4 College Senior

Career Services: There are may jobs that you can get after graduating from the school. One of the ones I am interested in is the Lab jobs. Basically, those are the people who set up the labs for the students, from growing bacteria to setting up chemicals. It seems fun and interesting.

Overall Experience: This school has a variety of campuses, classes, and different programs. The tutors are great, some professors are awesome, and transferring to one of the partnered universities is easy. They have transfer advisors for those universities on campus so they can help you transition smoothly.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There is morning, afternoon, and evening classes. On top of that there is also hybrid and online classes. So, it is very possible to create the schedule best for you.

Online Courses: For me it was split half and half between fantastic online classes and terrible online classes. It really depends on the professor more then the course itself. My accelerated anatomy class was fantastic, but my sociology class was terrible. I would recommend researching professors first before signing up for the class.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: My specific major was unique and it sometimes confused some of the advisors. I am working toward pre-pharmacy and a bachelor in biology. So this lead to some complex workings. However, I did find an advisor who was able to help and they helped me through everything.

The science classes are amazing, they are smaller so you get more time with the professor and they are able to spend more time with you.

I would recommend finding an advisor who understands your major, if one doesn't fully understand try a different one.

Overall Experience: I love central arizona college. It is a smaller school with plenty of Arizona campuses and three different class types so that you can choose the best fit for you. Another amazing thing is their university partnerships that allow for easy transfers from community college to university.

The only thing I would recommend would be to go to ratemyprofessors.com to make sure the professor you are looking at will suit you.

All in all an amazing school with amazing programs and it is affordable.
