Party Scene: People usually get to hang out on the weekends, but the traditional "partying" doesn't happen. Most of the fun and interesting places to go are about 30min away.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: The school sponsored parties like campus christmas and elliv are pretty good and the alt nights were usually entertaining. Besides that, watching movies/playing games with friends are the only real fun things to do at Cedarville. Other venues for entertainment are all the way in the nearby towns and cities. Popular spots are: Indian mounds, Clifton Gorge, Youngs dairy barn, and nearby movie theaters.

Academics: The academics are very good, but very difficult. Even the "easier" majors have a decent amount of work. If you are going into STEM fields, be prepared for a lack of social life and loss of sleep. Most of the professors are good and the classes are interesting. There are also good facilities and interactive aspects for most of the classes that require them.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Since Cedarville is a christian school, the religious and sexual orientation diversity is very low. Everyone is pretty accepting of racial diversity and economic diversity, though the school is fairly expensive, so it kind of limits who can attend. The students are mostly white, but I don't think it is due to any kind of discrimination, and I think that racial/ethnic diversity is increasing.

Drug Safety: Drugs and alcohol usage is very prohibited. The school is very serious about it's students not using drugs and alcohol and all of the professors have to sign a statement that they won't drink at all. It is a christian university, so a lack of drugs and alcohol on campus makes sense. The town of Cedarville is pretty low-key about alcohol as well. Most businesses don't sell it.

Greek Life: There are only a few greek groups on campus and we don't see them that often. They don't have special housing or anything like that. However, I haven't been a part of a greek group and I don't know anyone who is, I think they have a good time.

Health & Safety: I have never had any issues. I have walked into Cedarville's town alone. I was safe. My friend and I walked down by ourselves and although the cool night air brought with it something of the spooky nature. We were completely fine.

Overall Experience: The professors that invest in their students, who don't want to see them fail, who come up and help you are the best. I have had a handful of amazing professors. These professors showed me how to study. Helped with a research question not related to the class. Encouraged me to grow spiritually. So far my general class has been big. However, the size did not stop the professors from trying to get to know you.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Career services on campus is extremely helpful. They strive to make sure that every student leaves Cedarville with a job.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: To live on campus means to immerse yourself with a whole batch of people. These people will either build you up, or leave you in the dust. The dorms are not super spacious but we make them work. Even in the smallest girls dorm people still crash each others rooms to hang out or talk. I love that I can go knock on my friends door at midnight and they let me in. Friendships built in the dorm are strong. They see you nearly everyday. They live life with you. They are there to comfort you or to make you laugh. Dorm life has its struggles. However, I really do love the dorms.

Health & Safety: The medical center is very nice and caring. Campus safety does their job effectively.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I feel encouraged here and at home. There is no where else (besides my house) that I'd rather be. Friends have become family, teachers are mentors, and adjusting is quick & painless.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Obviously there will be competition in nursing, but it's nursing, I'll have an easy time looking for a job. The education is top notch, so I feel very confident in finding a job when I graduate.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Printy isn't the best spaciousness wise, but the community is great. Other dorms are better of course.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: Giant clique for the most part. Just a christianized sorority/frat life.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: This school is great. The faculty really want to help you grow in your faith and help you succeed in college.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Depending on where you live the rooms can be pretty small, but they are all clean with good options for laundry.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The Greeks are all pretty close and although they behave most of the time, most students have a negative opinion of them.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: A few of the teams do very well, but overall fan support among the students is pretty low. The gym facilities are excellent and open to all students.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The professors are kind and very willing to spend their time to help students succeed. The student boards are involved in helping students get involved.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Our soccer teams are awesome. Our basketball teams will be awesome. Our baseball team could be awesome. Our softball team is softball. As teams did better, more people attended the games and school spirit rose.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love Cedarville. The professors are amazing. The president is an awesome person who's life goal is to share with everyone the love of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. The classes are challenging, but there are multiple different ways to get help if you are struggling. All around, Cedarville University is a great college. (The food does get kind of old after a while, but that would happen pretty much anywhere.)

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: students as campus safety officers, some stealing but very rare, no assault records, overall very safe

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My major has a very specific and intense program (nursing) and the professors are great at making sure everyone is getting their best fit. The classes are usually about 20 people unless they're requirements for a lot of different majors, then lectures are about 120 people. Lots of great people who are eager to help whenever necessary

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There's a couple of job fairs each semester, a general one, and some major specific ones scattered throughout. Placement for jobs in really high, and I know that when considering grad school lots of in state students stay here.
