Overall Experience: I absolutely love Cedarville University, and I am reminded daily of what a crucial and impactful decision I made when I placed my initial deposit. I have not encountered a day yet where I have not been challenged in every possible endeavor, whether its to be more intentional in my relationships, shaping my worldview, growing as an individual, or expanding my understanding academically. It has been a wonderful experience, from the residence life to academic and extracurricular involvement. I have not stopped growing and I am looking forward to the next two years I have here.

Overall Experience: Cedarville is the place where I came and I finally was not the odd one out. The year is barely begun, but I have already felt the difference between this college and the hostile public school where I went for high school.

Overall Experience: As a Christian, I was always told to love my neighbor. But since coming here, I have never felt more judged in my entire life than at this school during this semester. Apparently, being of a different denomination is evil, and baptist is the only true way of life. It makes me sick, and I will be transferring.

Overall Experience: I love Cedarville University, there is a great sense of community at this school. The classes are designed to make us think critically. I would come back here if I had to do it all over again. The only thing is I wish it was in a bigger town than the town of Cedarville.

Overall Experience: As a school, Cedarville is a great place to be. The quality of education is very good, the professors are great for the most part, and the opportunities provided to students is abundant and diverse. For myself personally, it is not what I expected because it is in a small town and it is very far from where I am from. This made the transition a little difficult.

Overall Experience: So far, so great. Cedarville University has exceeded my expectations; it is a great mix of everything I was looking for in a school. From a rigorous program, to caring professors, and attentive staff. Cedarville provides a perfect atmosphere for learning and building meaningful relationships. Something that has impacted me in a big way is the encouraging and engaging community my University provides. You know that they do what they do because they care about each individual student's growth.

Overall Experience: It's enjoyable and you can meet great friends.

Campus Housing: I absolutely love living on my campus. Although it can sometimes be difficult living with a handful of college-age girls, I have built lifelong friendships that mean the world to me. The social aspect of living on campus is definitely the most important aspect to me. My freshman year, the majority of my close friends were girls that I lived with, and living on campus is how I built those important relationships. I love the community that I live in, although the rooms are very small and it can sometimes get pretty cramped. I enjoy the unit-style dorm that I live in because it forces you to build relationships with girls. I only share a bathroom with 15 other people, but since I see them all the time it is very easy to become close.

Another thing I love about living on campus is being so close to my classes. Being on a small, beautiful campus has lots of perks, but this is one of the best parts. I am not a morning person, so being able to wake up, get ready, and not have to worry about walking long distances is really convenient. I plan to stay on campus until I graduate, and although it may be a little more expensive than renting a house, I think the experience of living on campus is definitely worth it.

Party Scene: I have never heard of a party with drugs and alcohol at Cedarville because of the strict rules, and I am grateful for that. There is no pressure of feeling like I should do something that I know is wrong. We do have some fun events going on almost every weekend, so it is easy to stay busy. My favorite experience of a party so far was Elliv 2015. I had a blast, and it was a fun night with a fun crowd, and it was one of the highlights of my freshman year. At the other events we have, there is always something fun to do and I know how hard the SGA works to create fun events for the student body.

Off-Campus Dining: Cedarville is a really small town, so there is not a whole lot out there. There's a pizza place, a Subway, a Chinese place, and a few coffee shops. That about sums up the off-campus dining within walking distance. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of options, and so almost all the time I eat on-campus. Occasionally, I will travel to Beavercreek with some friends to get many more options, but that only happens once in a great while.

Administration: Since I chose Cedarville because of it's Christian foundation, I knew that there would be strict rules that I would be expected to follow. That being said, I do not necessarily like the rules but I know that they are there for protection of the students. Of course there are rules that I would change, like open dorms being more than once a month, but I appreciate the Christian values that Cedarville holds on certain views, and I am pleased with the administration.

Scholarships: Cedarville is not a cheap university, and I did not receive as much scholarship money as I would like. I received lots more scholarship money at other schools, and almost did not go to Cedarville because it was more expensive than the other colleges that I was looking into. I wish that there were more scholarship opportunities available to students that are not based off of financial need and not based off of the parents' occupation (for example, scholarships for missionary's children or pastor's children). However, I do appreciate the academic scholarships that I receive.

Campus Food: Nobody enjoys going to the cafeteria and wearing that distinct smell afterwards, but overall we have a decent cafeteria. There are many options to choose from, so there is always something that sounds pretty good. The food always seems prepared the best it can be, and I appreciate the effort that is put in by the Chuck's staff to make our experiences in the dining hall more pleasurable.

Off-Campus Housing: It's hard to get permission to live off campus, but everyone I know who has done it loves it.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We have plenty of restaurant options in the surrounding towns.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: The campus safety officers don't have to enforce very much because the students for the most part are very respectful of the school policies. I don't really have any complaints about the policies - they are very reasonable and promote wholesome student life.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I received an academic scholarship automatically based on my SAT score as well as one from the music department. I didn't have to do anything to have them applied to my tuition costs, so it was perfect!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I have no complaints with the food offered at Cedarville. Monte, the head chef is doing a fantastic job and I love the huge variety offered in the cafeteria everyday.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Our dorms offer everything we need and are kept in tip-top shape. No complaints here!

5 College Freshman

Athletics: There is no football team. Basketball, soccer, and track are all big sports on campus. The athletic facilities are pretty well taken care of and the rec center has a lot to offer those who are not athletes. It was a bit intimidating at first for me as I am not a big gym person, but it was definitely worth using. Go in and check it out.

Academics: I have not had any bad professors during my time at Cedarville. It is not an easy school - don't come if you are afraid to work. Academic advisers, the registrar's office, admissions, etc. have all been very helpful to me. Professors are strict and do make you do your work but they are generally fair and will work with you if you have a problem.

5 College Freshman

Administration: The administration is definitely very strict but everything is straightforward. What else would you expect at a conservative Christian college? Alcohol is forbidden (even if you are above drinking age), there is a dress code and curfew and there are only a few specified times the opposite gender can visit each other's dorms. Familiarize yourself with the handbook before you come. If you know what you are getting into, its not too bad.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: There is a lot of variety. Its definitely not as bad as many people like to say. If you don't like what's being offered at Home Cook (the "main dish" area), you can make your own food at self-cook, or customize a sub or burrito at one of the other lines. The soups and salad bar are good usually. Usually the ones complaining are the ones too lazy to experiment.

5 College Freshman

Local Area: Area is great! Small, but open and peaceful. The locals love us!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I love it at Cedarville. The classes are fantastic, and they challenge your thinking and make you work critically. Everything is Christ-focused, and that makes everything better!
