Cedar Crest's campus is small and very safe. There isn't any traffic, which adds to the security of the environment. Cedar Crest has its own campus police team that consists of 18 full-time and part-time officers; they are always visible on campus and available 24/7 to provide escort services to students. There are also 14 emergency call-boxes around campus.

The campus is very conscious of the well-being of its students and offers the "Healthy U" program, which aims to keep students physically fit and eating well. Health Services offers general medical care, physical exams, routine gynecological services, allergy injections, and immunizations. Many students complain that Health Services is not very helpful when you are sick, so when you need a doctor or a service not available on campus, the Lehigh Valley Hospital is nearby, right on Cedar Crest Boulevard.
