Academic Flexibility: The classes I have needed to take have always been available. In fact when the only section of a microbiology class I needed was full, a teacher who had originally decided not to teach any more classes, saw the need and opened another section. Because of that I didn't have to take the harder, more advanced microbiology class to fulfill my course requirement.

Online Courses: I personally enjoy the class room setting because I like the face to face interaction with other people. That being said the online class I have taken was informative and easy to navigate.

Career Services: I haven't used the career center services personally but from what I've heard they are very helpful and knowledgeable there

Overall Experience: There are a wide range of classes available including several classes for people who just want to develop their interests such as pottery, photography, and painting. They have computer classes for people, like me, who need some extra help and continuing education courses for folks who are looking into starting new a different careers. I am particularly excited about my program because it has a simulated hospital that I think will really help me solidify what I'll be learning in a practical way.

Overall Experience: The job placement service at CVCC is great and the program I'm going into has an excellent percentage of folks who have jobs secured before they graduate.

Academic Experience: I will be entering into my program of study this fall so I don't know what the coursework will be like just yet but everything I have heard sounds promising. The graduation rate is 100% and the majority of the students in the program last year had jobs before they graduated. I expect the course work will be heavy but I believe it will only be whats necessary.

Overall Experience: I have attended bigger schools and and smaller schools in my pursuit for higher education and I have to honestly say that CVCC is "just right." It has all the necessary amenities that one needs such as a computer lab and library with a knowledgeable staff. The admission process was quick and effortless and everyone seemed genuinely interested in my education. The teachers are approachable and interested in their students' success. One of my teachers in particular was always willing to listen whenever I had the least little concern about my schoolwork, and my concerns outside the classroom as well. I would recommend this campus to anyone looking for a college with a more personal feel, and far less expensive than most universities.

Academic Experience: The workload is heavy and it is expected to be done at the best of your abilities. The curriculum is helpful because they provide courses that help in both writing and mathematics: two important things for a science major. The facilities are typical. They provide both seated classrooms and computer classrooms. They also have a writing center and tutoring center.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I like CVCC however I wish there was more of a community feeling

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The school and the staff is fantastic. It is a wonderful place and a wonderful environment. The best decision I made was coming to this school! I would come here again, of course, because the students and staff are so nice and respectful. I feel welcomed and as if the school is one big family, as it should be.

4 College Junior

Career Services: My post-grad services are with counselors and liaisons that work with my high school making plans easy and comfortable.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Teachers are willing to work with you on your schedule and improving your grades.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: There are Academic classes were the instructors read straight from a textbook and show no knowledge on the topic.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: There are many open computer labs which allow me to study and keep up with homework at any time.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I have taken a few online courses while at CVCC. I like the convenience of them, however, I do much better in a classroom where I can immediately receive help or instruction if I need it. CVCC online courses all use Blackboard, which is pretty user-friendly. Most professors are very good in communicating with their students. Registration is very easy. The only thing I feel could be better is a way of communicating between students.

Academic Experience: I am thankful to be a paramedic student at CVCC. The curriculum is getting better, and the facilities are great. We are able to do many clinical hours in the field, which is great for us, as we can get a lot of experience interacting and caring for people. The workload is honestly much heavier than I expected, but it will be worth it if I am a better paramedic in the end.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Academics at CVCC is great. The professors are great. Curriculum is great. The registration process is made very simple with the use of My Services online. The workload really depends on what program you're in. I can only speak for health occupation programs. The workload is very heavy, but will lead us to be better healthcare professionals when we are finished with school.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of education I am receiving is great. The EMS program at CVCC is one of the best in the state, and I'm thankful to be a part of the student body. The financial aid office is great, although, this past year, I wasn't eligible for federal aid (which makes paying for school very difficult)! However, the CVCC Foundation offers a wide range of scholarships that are made available to students by submitting one simple CVCC Foundation application. Not all students are eligible for every scholarship, as many are based on the program of study, but it's worth it to apply.

Campus Resources: I don't know much about the athletic centers, but the campus library is a great place to study, and they have some very helpful employees. Campus activities range widely, especially for a community college, which is definitely good for students.

Student Body: There is definitely a lot of diversity at CVCC. As a public service student, I really only interact with students on CVCC East Campus, however. I no longer have any classes on the main campus. I do know, though, that diversity ranges widely, which is very cool. As far as I know, everyone at CVCC is pretty accepting of everyone else, in regards to diversity.

Career Services: Honestly, as a current student, I haven't been told much about the career services at my school. I do know that a career service exists at my school to help students find employment, however. Also, my specific program of Emergency Medical Science, has a very high hire rate post-graduation.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I have not really looked into post-grad schools yet.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: I actually really enjoy taking online classes. I feel like they are more accessible. Since I live 45 minutes away from the campus I find it more convenient to take online courses.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have not been accepted into my program yet because there are prerequisites that have to be completed first. I have not felt overwhelmed by the course load that I have been taking. Over all my program so far is enjoyable.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Professors are amazing. The curriculum is not as hard as I expected, but I still struggle when it comes to finding time to focus solely on my studies. Registering for classes is simple and I can even do it online.
