The weather in North Carolina is seasonal, but completely unpredictable. It could be 30 degrees one day, 70 degrees the next, and then a storm that weekend. Recently, Salisbury experienced some tornados on a weekend, after a week of beautiful weather. In terms of clothing, you should bring a little of everything from your closet for every season.

North Carolina's tumultuous climate is due to its location, with its nearly 7,000-foot range in elevation and 300-mile range from the ocean. The range of altitude is also the greatest for a state east of the Mississippi. In Salisbury, July is usually the warmest month of the year, while January is the coolest month. In terms of rain, March usually receives the most precipitation.
