5 College Sophomore

Parking: Freshman are allowed to have a car on campus.

4 College Junior

Parking: Catawba College just started charging students living on campus a parking fee. It is minimal though. Since our campus is small, any parking space will provide you with access to anything on campus. It is not necessary to have a car while living on campus. There are many shops and restaurants that are in walking distance. Plus someone with a car is always willing to take you along when they are out running errands.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: It depends on the dorm, but for the most part parking is pretty decent.

4 College Junior

Parking: The fees are not huge, and the security assures that those who are not welcome are not staying very long. Parking is cheap and something that is really easy to find as well.

Parking on campus is a nightmare and can be horrible at times. There is one main parking lot for students, which most people end up parking in, even though it's only close to one freshman dorm. Parking near other dorms is very limited, and spots are very hard to find—an open one gets taken very quickly. There is always parking near the theaters and athletic complexes for residents, commuters, faculty, and staff.

Getting a Parking Permit
Getting a parking permit is very easy. On the day you move into the dorms, you fill out a small form that includes your name, the year, make, model of your car, and the license plate number. They then give you a sticker that you put on the bottom right corner of your windshield, and you're done. That simple. And, again, it's free.
