Greek Life

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Case's Greek community is extremely accepting, and mellow compared to other schools, however this is definitely a positive thing, yet Greek life (supervising body) is relentless in trying to crush any fun Greeks may attempt to have.

Greek Life: This university and all of its students has great relationships with Greek life! It's the perfect arrangement.

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek is extremely popular here at Case. About 40% of the students belong in Greek life. If chapters do not have a house on-campus, then they can choose to live together on a certain floor specific to their Greek chapter.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: We've got a chapter for pretty much everyone who's interested. We throw pretty bomb parties. Overall, whether or not you're a part of it, Greek life has a very positive impact on the community.

Greek Life: Hazing is not tolerated. There's like.. none of it. I'm not in greek life but I hang around some fraternities and am going to join a sorority so I've seen some stuff. Greek housing is a mix between nice actual houses or dorm buildings only for two chapters. The houses are really nice and the dorms are pretty nice as well.

Greek life at Case is a very good balance of philanthropy and partying. Frat parties offer a good way to unwind and socialize on the weekends. Greek life definitely doesn’t dominate the social scene, only compliments it. Since there isn’t a large social scene beyond student organizations and clubs, Greek life offers a necessary outlet for those seeking social stimulation.

The Greek system is the important cohesive matter that keeps Case’s frail social scene in tact. Greek parties are open to Greeks and non-Greeks and the party environment is rarely exclusive. The Greek social scene for some is a refreshing alternative to the residence life social scene and the academic social scene (I think I just made that one up). Most definitely, the Greek scene is not dominating. Social interaction is easy to find if you’re looking for it and although the Greek scene is very conducive, it doesn’t have to take place at a frat party.
