3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The learning experience is great, but the staff, students and teachers can be biased and sometimes it shows in front of the students.

3 College Senior

Career Services: There is one person in charge of trying to find a job for each student in that program. However, the chances of a student receiving a job from an externship is fairly high.

Online Courses: I love having a different experience of online learning because it allows for more anonymity with the other students, which can put off the pressure of messing up. The teacher communicated well with emails and if necessary phone conferences.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors are professional and well versed in their specialties. I do feel like the lab tests that are graded subjectively, with certain students getting better grades than others.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: After the program is complete, there is a placement coordinator who will work with the students to fix resumes and to try and search for jobs available to them.

Academic Experience: I have learned all sorts of diseases about how the body works. I have a strict 2 days lab and 2 days of lecture for each semester. There is no homework, besides studying, but there are quizzes weekly and tests quite often that can prove challenging with a busy schedule. After the school work is done I will be attending clinicals set up by the school to experience real life work.

Academic Experience: This is a specialized school for certain medical professions. Each program is accelerated so the courses are all preset, which makes the scheduling easy.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Most of the administration is not considerate of the students, however there are a select few who truly make the experience at the school worth it.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The school has a strict schedule because it is a medical school and very challenging courses.

3 College Senior

Student Body: There are cliques that form, like any normal group setting, but sometimes it can inhibit learning a certain subject. However, most of the students are considerate of others.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel like the school is disorganized at times, but the teachers are extremely knowledgeable.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The instructor is excellent. The instructor for the other class works well with my class.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Student body is for nursing classes only. The medical assisting and DMS classes are not included.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is modestly feasible. The financial aid department are wonderful people. They go far and beyond to assist the students.

Campus Quality: The school is having too many problems at the moment. I feel since the majority of the Hawthorne campus is African American we are getting the short end of the stick. The passing rate has dropped. The students are complaining about the education they're receiving. The instructors are not happy. The campus has gone through 2 directors of nursing in one year period. Stability isn't there. Just trying to make it to the end so I can begin my next chapter of life.

Academic Flexibility: It's easy to get to after I leave work. My job is working with me to make school work for me.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: learning resource center and skills labs.

Campus Resources: The school's learning resource center has printing available but the printer breaks down often. Network reliability is not to good either. Wireless access is on campus but it's limited unless you have Time Warner Cable. Students will have to pay for WiFi service on campus if they want to use it.

Career Services: The new career placement officer at the Hawthorne campus is very good and encouraging to be around.

Career Services: we have a very small placement center with only one person. She comes to our class once a level and talks to us about getting jobs in the nusring field. She is a great person and very nice but not very convincing. No one ever interacts with her or goes to see her about anything. I have heard from other students that all of her job leads are dead ends.

Overall Experience: I do like my school because it is a non profit school. We are unique because we are a family. We truly help each other succeed at what we do. Our students are very smart and often offer tutoring to each other. We do get rewarded, as our school might buy us lunch or set up events just to take our mind off of school for a minute. They are very good to us as we are to them, and are raising us to be great nurses.

Campus Resources: no athletics, this is a very small private school. Love the library and the librarian. She is so helpful and always sends out informational emails, schoolwide. For almost every holiday our student council holds an event and we play games, get to know each other, and we really have a good tie, which we deserve. Our director is really supportive and cares about his students well being. He believes that every situation is different and works around our lifestyles.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Free printing, round the clock computer access, and wifi. Beyond exceptional. Our resources are unlimited.

Academic Experience: i like and appreciate the school that I attend because we are all like a family instead of a business. The teachers are very open to change and help us apply our clinical skills in the real world in a way that we can really understand. I would be lieing if I said the work was easy. It's alot and if you have never done anything in the medical field it is very hard and takes alot of determination. We have very great clinical sights and a great reputation. I have not graduated yet, but from what I hear, we have an awesome placement department. The only thing I would complain about is the lack of organization on behalf of the faculty.

Academic Experience: The professors at my school are extremely knowledgeable and love what they do. Out of about ten teachers, 8 of them are great at what they do. We have test and quizzes almost everyday and the lessons are really hard to understand. This is the reason that the teachers take time out their lives and stay after school for hours to make sure you understand. When i registered it was easy and simple, but just be sure to clarify everything with financial aid because during the middle of your term they will throw another bill in your face. I suppose it was in the fine print. We have a wonderful library and quiet study pace, multiple computers and lots of space.
