Overall Experience: The community is so amazing. You're not just a number! Professors and staff, including the President, work to make sure that Carson-Newman is your home that that you are living a fulfilled life. They all have posted office hours, and will do all that they can to help you. The students are all awesome people, too. It's great meeting someone as a total stranger and then walking away as friends. I can't imagine transferring to a school where I wasn't an individual.

Overall Experience: They staff there are very personable and dedicated to learning you are not just a number since me having adhd i have to always be ahead i contacted my instructors and they all told me what chapters we will be starting on.I tried this at other college and they denied me this .The registration and enrollment process they are there every step of the way.The faith is another very amazing feature.

Guys & Girls: Just depends on how you meet both guys and girls and the relationship you build from there can go either way.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There is not too much to choose from when trying to be healthy.

1 College Senior

Campus Food: There are very few days where the cafeteria has decent food. I usually have to fill up on cookies and ice cream.

2 College Senior

Scholarships: I talked to multiple people and got a few different answers so it made my process longer. Just when I thought I was done, there was always something more that needed to be completed.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is slightly above average in cost, but is worth not living in the dorm rooms. Having your own bathroom is worth the extra charges and short drive to campus.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Getting scholarships was slightly difficult but they ended up giving me most but not all of what I needed.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Only fast food restaurants that are right off campus give small student discounts. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants right around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Underage drinking happens on campus and with it being a small campus, security should have that cracked down on, but they dont. They have great social activities year round on campus for students and the administration I'd nice and easy to work with.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Salad bar is pretty good and chicken patty friday is something all students look forward to throughout the week. Maples is the only decent place to go to get food.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Pest control could be increased and implemented more often.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Everyone really likes sports, but if you aren't into athletics, you will still fit in.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: The meal plan for freshman is outrageous and the food is terrible for the price you pay. The best place to eat on campus is Maples or Chik-fil-a, but you have to pay with Eagle Bucks.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Carson-Newman is just really small and suffocating. After a year of being there, I already felt like I had pretty much met everyone there was to meet.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There are currently two sororities on campus- the Callies and the Gamma Sigma Sigmas. The Callies allow people in through interview only while the Gamma Sigs allow in everyone who expresses interest in joining. The Callies are more of the social group and the party girls, while the Gamma Sigs are centered around community service. There are no fraternities on campus due to a prank that was played on the president awhile back, but men are allowed to pledge the Gamma Sigs (while I was looking into joining, one was expressing interested), but I am not sure about the Callies.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: My friends and I mostly partied alone in our dorm room.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: To be honest, I mostly just ordered Dominos at least once a week and occasionally braved crossing the high way to go to McDonald's.

1 College Freshman

Administration: Honestly, I don't understand what the authority figures are getting paid to do at Carson-Newman.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The courses definitely challenge you- but in a good way- and the professor know their students so well and so much more than other schools I hear about.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: The caf is gross but Chick fil a and Maples cafe are good

1 College Sophomore

Administration: so many rules and if you break one you get fined 100-200$

1 College Sophomore

Local Area: town is horrible. nothing to do.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: no greek life at all

1 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Food was awful. Chic fila was always good but students were never given enough eagle bucks
