Athletics: Are teams are Division III and they are just okay..

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: If you want to live off campus, you'll have to find an apartment or house yourself. Carlow only has 2 dorm buildings.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: If you step off campus you will find typical college food and fast food pizza places and etc.. (ex: Subway, Panera, Chipotle, McDonald's, Jimmy John's, Pizza Romano, 5 guys, The O's, Noodles and Company)

3 College Freshman

Administration: They make everyone swipe in at the door after 11pm and the side entrance of campus is closed at 9pm. The school is strict but, I went to a catholic school all my life and I am pretty much used to having rules and regulations.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: They give you a pretty descent amount of scholarship. Just have good grades and SAT scores.

Party Scene: The party scene is pretty nice. It is, what you make of it. My friends and I pretty much go out every other weekend or so. Carlow NEVER has any parties however, you can always find somthing at PITT.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: The options of food choices are limited, the food is normal "bad" college food.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are a pretty decent size. There are 2 dorm buildings however, they are connected.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: There are a ton of people to help you with financial aid.

Party Scene: Carlow is a dry campus, so you cannot party here, however, it's in the middle of Oakland so there are plenty of parties around the area.

Campus Housing: Carlow offers many opportunities to get involved in campus life, internships, volunteering, and job opportunies. However, the building is old so there have been issues with pipes bursting and the fire alarms are very sensitive. The faculty and staff are all very kind and caring. Overall it's like a comfy homely community. Very enjoyable.

Scholarships: I chose this school mostly by the scholarship offer. The financial aid office is very helpful.

Party Scene: No parties on campus, everyone goes home on weekends. But if you can find a few people to leave campus with you, its okay.

Campus Food: Everything will make you sick and it doesn't even taste good. How do you feel after eating dining hall food from here? My roommate describes it as sad, fat and pale. (no, she is not fat or pale, but the food is depressing)

Campus Housing: The buildings are old, except for the science building, and they are remodeling a building on campus. The dorm rooms are pretty big compared to many schools. The bathrooms are always clean. You can get from your dorm room to any building on campus within five minutes or less. The cost is kind of crazy, but the financial aid office does all that they can to help you out.

College Freshman

Party Scene: I don't party. It's not my thing. Besides, we're a dry, catholic campus, parties don't happen here. Most students go out on Thursday nights, because that's college night for most clubs around here. I know a lot of students go out because about half the campus is gone come Thursday night. Otherwise they go to parties on the other college campuses around here (there are 4 colleges within walking distance of each other). But again, I don't party. I stay in and play board games with friends, so I have no idea what the "party scene" is like at my school.

Campus Food: There are only two places to use your meal plan here. In a cafe on campus, and in the dining hall on campus. I wish we could use our meal plans at restaurants off and around campus as well. The food on campus is likely to make you sick about half the time. I have gotten sick from the food at both places on campus, but I keep eating there because I don't feel like paying out of pocket to eat at restaurants when I'm already paying about 2K for a meal plan.

Campus Housing: I go to a private, for-profit university, and I suppose considering that, housing costs aren't that bad. It's about 5K a semester. The dorms are traditional living style, with communal bathrooms/showers and whatnot. There are a handful of suites, but you have to apply and they're usually given to the seniors. But I mean, it's not BAD. I quite like living in the dorms. It's SO MUCH NICER than commuting, which I did last semester. I get more work done, and I have more friends now, and i feel more connected to the school. But it's a small school, so if here's drama with anyone, everyone knows about it, which can be really irritating because you can't escape it. The people can be really petty, so the social atmosphere could be better, but all things considered, it's not bad. The housing process isn't that complicated from what I've seen of it. Overall it's pretty nice, but it can really suck sometimes.
