3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Haven't gotten into the career classes portion yet but prerequisites have been good.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: CFCC is a great school. I have been impressed with 90% of my teachers. Campus is student friendly and easy to navigate. Help is easily accessible with tons of options. Cheap alternative to a university without lacking in quality.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I've really enjoyed my first year of college. It was rough at times juggling my studies, my job, and a personal life, but if you maintain a positive outlook on your future then you'll know that your education is a very important thing at this age.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I've only had one online course so far and it was Hybrid so I don't feel as though I have the best understanding of it to give a great review.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: I went and saw my career councilor once and it was one of the most helpful, eye-opening hour and a half of my life! She really helped me find the right direction I needed to take while at CFCC and even beyond at UNCW.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I found myself in a rut towards the end of the semester due to some personal life things and a professor of mine took notice and talked to me after class one day. He really gave me some of the best advice I've heard since I got to college that afternoon. They're here to help with more than just the curriculum. He told me about the counseling services at CFCC and how they could help me more. As of the classes, well they're great! they're not too big so there's a lot of opportunity to follow along easier and ask questions when you have them.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I don't know much about the job internships etc. My first year I really just wanted to focus on my grades. However, I love the advising center and all the staff in it! They're always beyond helpful.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: As an artist I thought an AA would have been best for me, but I think an Associates of Fine Arts would've suited me better. However, an AA is more transferable than an AFA. So it all comes down to what's most important to you. I could've done more career counseling, but overall I am still happy with my AA program.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I had my doubts about Cape Fear honestly, but they were laid to rest after completing my first year. I didn't think I would be as proud as I am now that I went. I saved a lot of money taking the same general education classes that would have costed possibly thousands of more dollars had I taken them at a university.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: So far, it's a lot of learning in science classes.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The teachers here make me feel accepted. They take the time to know you and your needs.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: transfering credits can be difficult

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Instructors in my program are awesome, friendly and graduate from the program. class size is perfect, instructor really helps

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: A lot of hands-on lab and i like it

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: My school is great because it didnt cost me much tuition and fees but the school has few courses that are right for me and i am looking for my career and could transfer to a college university.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Most of my classes are online which is helpful because I can still work and focus on moving

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: English is terrible to take online, a lot of work and not a lot of time

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Really enjoy it. ASL is the most engaging class I have taken.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Everyone knows what they want to do and aren't there just to waste time and money

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am not currently in my major, I'm waiting to hear back about a program I applied for

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Much better than attending UNCW, less stressful and better teaching

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Although I have not started my programs classes I am however taking my current prerequisites. So far I have been given great opportunities to choose which prerequisites I wish to take. At Cape Fear Community College you are given options on which classes interest you more and not subjected to a small selection of courses. Depending on the type of course you take varies upon your workload. So far not only by my opinion but others as well the workload is nothing that you shouldn't expect in a typical college enviorment

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It is a fantastic school! It has great hands on teachers and a small classroom setting which allows for more one-on-one contact.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility of scheduling classes was awesome. I went online and scheduled all of my classes after waiting only 15 minutes for an advisor to assist me with taking the correct classes in order for me to transfer to SCAD and get the credit hours I needed to transfer.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: Hybrid courses within CFCC are actually very easy and precise to understand. Communicating with your teachers seem to be without a doubt, not a problem at all. Discussion board is very clear and helps you to communicate with your peers quickly and efficiently.
