Campus Resources: The campus isn't too bad, it's nice and it's a good size for a community college. The teachers are nice and friendly, some are more helpful than others. The athletic programs are great and so are the coaching staff. The library is very useful and the learning labs are very helpful.

Overall Experience: So far, its been awesome. There was a bit of a miscommunication however in my program specific application process. The exact application procedures and point system needs to be clarified for the medical sonography program.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My experience has been good for the most part. Pretty much everyone is very helpful and willing to answer questions. My only complaint would be that sometimes you needed to ask really specific questions.

Campus Resources: Good resources overall, although I wish the library was open later. Its only open until 9pm. I have a busy schedule and would prefer that it be open 24 hours.

Academic Flexibility: I have no experience transferring credits, so I can't review that. I do however, think it is pretty easy to build a schedule that you can work with. My first semester my schedule was horrible, however, because I registered at the student orientation which was very late in the year to be registering, so I had the last picks. I couldn't really bring the review down for that though, although they should schedule the orientation earlier in the year to make it easier for new students to register. If you're a current student, registering is pretty easy. You get an email saying when it is your turn to register, and then you pick your classes. You get to register before the new students, so you get the best available choices for class times.

Overall Experience: I love CFCC so much. I wouldn't choose to go to a different school if I did it all over again. The teachers are amazing, and the environment is great, and not just the learning environment. All the students seem like very cool people and it's good to be in a place where people actually want to be there. When I'm in class, I'm never bored. I learn new things all the time, and I get plenty of hands on experience. I love this college.

Overall Experience: The class sizes of the ones I've been in were average, not too small and not too big. The professors I've had are always helpful and are great teachers. I think there is a wide availability of courses to take at CFCC and a wide range of majors, as well. I have learned something new in every single class I have taken, including general education classes.

College Junior

Overall Experience: They have plenty of job fairs throughout the year, and they could be really helpful if you would like to work at the chosen companies. Some teachers also offer internships opportunities with businesses. I don't think I can apply a rating though because these things have never personally helped me, but I am sure it has helped plenty of other people.

Online Courses: Some online professors are really helpful, while others don't help much but will still reply to emails. I was worried about taking online classes at first, but they are really easy to manage. In the two online classes I am taking, they give the class two weeks to complete an assignment, which is plenty of time. It's also easy to register for them, but I think they fill up fast so if you are going to take one, sign up as early as possible for them. In my experience, there isn't much peer-to-peer interaction except the minimum required by professors.

College Junior

Student Body: There are a lot of funny people that attend this college, but in a good way. I haven't come cross a mean person yet, or any kind of discrimination.

Tuition & Financial Aid: All my experience with the Financial Aid office have been helpful and the people who work there are always friendly. Even though I haven't paid out of pocket yet, I think all the tuition is worth it for the education I'm getting. When I have to pay out of pocket next semester I will still feel the same. My advice is to apply for Financial Aid even if you think you won't get it.

College Junior

Career Services: I haven't had any experience wit the post-grad services yet.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I personally love my major. I've always loved working on computers, so learning more about them is always great. The only thing I don't like is the network classes that are required. They are very difficult, but I should know how to do these things so I shouldn't really complain. All the professors I've had so far are very friendly and informative and always willing to help.

Academic Experience: The class registration process is pretty easy, and in my experience there are rarely any problems with it. It's always best to sign up for classes as early as you can. I think the nursing program is the one most associated with our school because there are a lot of nursing students that graduate from here and they are said to be the best because they get lots of hands on experience, not just book knowledge. I have never had a bad experience with the professors so far. Like I said previously, they are friendly and informative and all around great instructors.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library at the North Campus is very nice and quiet, and the North Campus is also very nice looking and clean. You can tell it is kind of new. As for student activities, there are plenty of them going on every week and they have a lot of great stuff, from free food to fun activities.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: A lot of people I have met at Cape Fear are going into nursing, which makes the program extremely competitive. Courses that are required for entry to nursing are much more difficult and time consuming then other courses at cape fear but I know that they are helpful in setting up nursing majors for nursing school.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have had only a few bad experiences with professors at cape fear, and both were online courses which made communication limited and difficult. There is a wide range of courses offered, but when it gets to the higher levels class times are more limited.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I feel like there needs to be better guidance as to how to get to or use certain things. The staff is somewhat friendly, but not always willing to help

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Taking my basic classes in hopes to transfer and finish a degree in a university

College Junior

Online Courses: Have not taken an online class therefore not applicable

3 College Junior

Student Body: AS a community college a lot of people are older and anyone younger is too shy to say something to the other so there isn't very much interaction if you yourself don't put in an effort

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition for in-state seems reasonable as far as college tuition is giong to get, and financial aid has been very helpful

3 College Junior

Career Services: I don't have much of an opinion, I haven't looked into career services offered.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: My teachers are great, but I always use rate my professor before choosing them, my roommate has not had such good experiences however

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I would say I'm offered at least all the basic classes I need in order to transfer, and as far as community colleges go I feel that is generally the main goal anyway.
