Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
  • Canisius has an "Alumni Career Connections Program" in which more than 750 former students participate. They give professional advice and aid other alumni in reaching contacts in their preferred line of work.
  • Professors can be helpful in finding a job or internship for you by connecting you with one of their former students or colleagues. You only have to ask.
  • The Career Center at Canisius regularly sends around notifications of internship and job opportunities in the area, as well as summer internships and jobs students may be qualified for but are not necessarily in Western New York. They offer career counseling, mock interviews, constructive criticism of resum├ęs and cover letters, and career fairs.
