3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I can't really rate the party scene as I don't go to parties, and I have only heard of maybe a couple that have gone on. I have been told if you look for it you will find it, but I am not.

Party Scene: Parties on campus are sober, they're a lot of fun. If you want the crazy "party" go off-campus.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: Personally, I haven't heard of any parties. I know they are out there, but I think to find them you have to be looking for them-which i'm not

Party Scene: If you're looking to party, you've come to the wrong place. A lot of people will judge you if you party, as it is definitely a widespread Christian community here. If you want to party, you will have to go off-campus, and sometimes they can be difficult to find.

5 College Junior

Party Scene: I give the party scene an excellent rating, but with some stipulations. As a freshman or sophomore, the party scene can be bleak. The campus is dry, and for that reason, unless as a freshman you have connections, you'll find yourself doing wholesome, non-alcoholic activities come the weekend. In the same respect, I wouldn't call Calvin a "party school" by any means. If partying is not for you, it can be easily avoided. That being said, if you were to wander into the neighborhoods a mile or two off campus, there are always parties. Every Friday and Saturday night without fail. Upperclassmen at Calvin without doubt know how to party, and I'll be jiggered if it isn't always a rip-roaring good time. House parties can range anywhere from 25 people, music and beer pong to houses packed wall to wall with students letting off steam from a stressful academic week, music blaring and debauchery running rampant. For a private christian school, these mother f^*&#$ know how to party, and party hard at that. Bottom line: If you're looking to party, you'll have no trouble doing so, just not on campus.
