5 College Freshman

Academics: The curriculum is tough, but the professors really go out of their way to help you out with the content you are learning. There are many quiet places to study on campus you just need to find the right one for you and go their often.

Academics: Being a public health student has been interesting. The program is very new (only about 3 years old) and it shows. All of the professors are in other departments as well, and there aren't very many students, so sometimes the program seems like an afterthought. But I think with time, it has the potential to be a great program! The workload is pretty light compared to other majors in the sciences, but it's still a considerable size. Internship opportunities are rare, but this is because the department is so small and new, not many connections have been made yet.

Academics: Professors are always willing to help you when you come to their office and even regularly check their emails to answer questions. That was one of the reasons why I chose this school. I like that the professors are willing to help with anything and want to connect with students on a first name basis. I think that Calvin is a challenging school, but that once graduated from there, you can get a job almost anywhere because of its name.

Academics: Certain programs are better than others, but every program here holds a certain level of expectations for its students. All of the courses pose deep questions and challenge students. Almost every class, if not every class, will incorporate faith into the learning process.

Academics: Very cool to be an IR guy because we have an intimate group.
