Weather: When the weather is nice it's great walking to class and spending time outside with friends because our campus is beautiful. It's also nice to go sit by the river when the weather is nice and relax. When it's raining walking to class is not fun, but that's how it is at every college. The same goes for when it's snowing and freezing.

4 College Freshman

Weather: My campus isn't too big so whether it's raining, snowing or the sun is shining it's easy to get to class.

Weather: This past winter was bad.

1 College Freshman

Weather: If it's not raining, it's muggy. Pennsylvania has the worst weather (it used to be a swamp!), and it gets worse as you go south.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It's average weather for this area. Bat in the winter.

Weather in Western Pennsylvania consists of all four seasons. In the winter months, snow and freezing temperatures can be a deterrent for drivers and buses, and occasionally lead to a few days or an entire week of canceled classes, especially during the month of February. Cal U is especially good at salting and clearing sidewalks and parking areas to promote safety and avoid accidents. Joining groups like Snow Club allow you to use the cold weather to your advantage for skiing trips at Seven Springs or Nemacolin.

The warm weather in spring and summer allow students to fully utilize the campus and surrounding areas with outdoor activities and parties. On a nice day, people enjoy walking their dogs, playing sports, or studying outside.
