This school does not have a very strong social life. It is a commuter school, so expect the campus to be dead most of the time unless there is a big campus event going on. It is not terribly difficult to make friends, most of the people are very friendly and are willing to get to know you. The academics are alright, there are both great and terrible professors. However, a lot of programs as of 2024 are being cut so there are fewer in person classes and professors are being laid off.
When I attended CSU East Bay I was a first-generation low-income student trying to navigate the higher education system on my own. I am grateful for the great student support programs they offered.
My experience at CSUEB was generally positive; however, the process of obtaining my records and inquiring about my loans post-graduation has been disappointing. The office responsible for these tasks has exhibited extreme unprofessionalism.
Looking ahead, I hope for a future where there's minimal human interaction required for accessing such documents. Additionally, it's crucial that individuals tasked with managing transcripts display professionalism and empathy in their interactions. Unfortunately, my recent encounter with a staff member was marked by rudeness, bias, and unwarranted commentary regarding my personal circumstances during my final term at the university.
I believe that the implementation of AI technology could streamline these processes and eliminate the subjective biases that sometimes mar human interactions. Here's to progress in the years to come! Cheers to the prospect of your job being taken over by an AI in 2024!

I went to east bay for 2 years to recieve my associates. I loved the vibe of the campus and how focused everyone was to getting their schooling done.
The job market is extremely competitive in this field. There were also several students among the staff. The initial work might be contracted out, but I know of someone who had to move away from home to gain experience before returning. Everything is conceivable. Since living here is also pricey, perhaps those who are beginning a family look for alternative areas to call home. However, I'm sure that some individuals come here to live and work.
At cal state East Bay I enjoyed many things such as being involved in the EOP program and using the Recreation and Wellness Center but a few things I did not enjoy was the lack professors leaving the campus with many online courses. I expected a bit more academic strength then what I was presented with when I got here. Many professors do not know how to work modern technology or are brand new to teaching.
I loved how close this famous was to home- and a lot of my other family members have gone here so I also understand that this schoos reliable and their professors are great and love to teach. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're interested in getting a bachelors.
My experience at Cal State East Bay has been pretty good so far enjoying all of my classes and making some good friends. I like the diverse population of students that go to Cal State East Bay and I enjoy the availability of the teachers when you reach out for help. Some things I would like to see changed is the party scene or more school activities I don’t see that much going on
Great professors, all my course I found it to be hard but with the professors are very dedicated in helping out students and as a student if you take the opportunity and study hard it’s easier.
Ever since I arrived at East Bay it has changed me in more ways than one. I still stress over the importance of academics, but it's only because I care about my future and what I work hard for. One of the things that East Bay has helped me with is helpful programs. Each program comprises caring and hardworking staff members who care about me and many other students. They understand my goals and can provide me grace when it's hard for me to do it for myself. The only thing I would like to see changed is the price of the tuition, books, and classes. If the school could provide lower costs for their classes then it would be helpful for a lot of students to go to school and save money for themselves.
i like that my program is fully online, this gives me the flexibility to be able to take this program online while also being able to keep my job which is monday through friday
I appreciate the diverse campus community and the range of academic programs at California State University, East Bay; positive interactions with faculty and the emphasis on practical skills.
Common areas for improvement mentioned in reviews include concerns about parking availability and occasionally crowded classes.

It is a pretty good experience everyone is usually so supportive. It is very easy to connect with people if you would just open yourself up to being friends with other people. There is many resources as well that you can receive on their website and on campus as well.
I love the faculty members who supported my insane ideas while also getting to create long-term meaningful relationships. I would like to see more opportunity fairs that are besides career fairs.
So far my time at east bay has been worthwhile. The dorms is close to campus which is very convenient. The food on the other hand is not that good, but they do have other food on campus. I love my classes so far and the professors who are understanding.
It’s good,Professor are helpful especially for business school and they will also provide additional help if required in order for student to learn the best out of everything . 100 percent recommended!
I have had a good experience in my in person classes and online classes. I would say that the school could offer more online courses because not every class is available as an online option.
